Just looking at the 12 top ranked Cats players (AFL site) only two, Cam Guthrie and Menegola, are under 30 years of age.

Guthrie is 28 and Menegola is 29.

Scott will be praying for that bye.

Maybe he should incorporate two nana-naps into their training instead of one.

got my first pfizer yesterday. got a text today saying that I am due my second shot. The paper work yesterday said I am due on the 5th of September. 3 weeks between vaccinations.

Any side effects Cookie? I mean, apart from the fact that you now post in large, italic purple type? 😁

I asked Gary Pert and it seems GFG is not transferable - hopefully this changes given the extenuating circumstances

I hope it does change. For fans like @DEE fence (lives and works abroad and has family in Perth) this would be great.

Agree WCW I was surprised as well. Until around mid July, Poland was tracking well numbers wise and then the dialy numbers fell off a cliff.

Just goes to show how hard it is getting that last 30% of the population to have the jab

Apparently the older Poles in general are rather reluctant to get vaxxed, especially those in the many little villages. In Warsaw the rates are pretty good. The younger generations are keen to be vaccinated.

Thank goodness Uncle Bitters hasn't turned up in a while!!! 😨

I’d be flat out with work for (at least) the next 12 months. And you know who’d be paying for the service, right? Yep, his poor maid.

  6. OK so the GF will almost definitely be lost to another state. But at the rate we’re going we (fans) won’t be permitted to gather somewhere to watch it on a big screen together. This is largely due to the selfishness of a small minority whose actions impact us all.

I just want to say that as a Jewish person, I am disgusted at what has gone on in that community. A community that I have purposefully distanced myself from. But I can tell you categorically that the large majority of the Jewish community are furious. The video of the party was leaked and sent to authorities by the community. The $350,000 of collective fines and the massive contract tracing efforts have only been made possible because good law abiding members of that community were not willing to protect these idiots.

The outrage is real and I hope that the greater Victorian community can see that those people are a minority of selfish [censored] who use their religious radicalism to justify their [censored] behaviour in all walks of life.

I for one am outraged that people did this. I don’t care what category, for lack of a better word, of people. Just people.
I agree with you wholeheartedly. A tiny percentage of idiots doesn’t represent the entire group. These ppl are selfish idiots regardless of race, religion, nationality etc.

  8. I am [censored] furious right now. Another two weeks (at least) of lockdown along with a curfew from 9pm to 5am. I get that we need to have this in place and I’m still gonna abide by all the rules as I have done all along. BUT… these selfish [censored] gathering in large groups to party, not a mask in sight and of course zero social distancing, are killing all hope of us having freedoms restored. Sixty-nine selfish cretins gathered for an engagement party. Moreover, it’s since been confirmed there was an infected person amongst them. And in Richmond a heap of people gathered outside a pub to drink and party. Again, [censored] selfish. Another dance party was organised with 1000 ppl on the invitation list!
Then you compare that to @old dee’s granddaughter missing out on her birthday party coz her family are doing the right thing. It’s mind blowing that ppl can be so manifestly self-centred and oblivious to everyone else’s situations.
Thank you DL for somewhere to vent.  😠

    Did we? And are they?

Three more questions: How do you know? Has it been stated somewhere?

And most importantly, does it matter?

ScoMo announced it yesterday. The one million Pfizer doses left Warsaw on I think Sunday morning. They were due to arrive in Aus wee hours this morning. Of the one million, 530,000 are going to NSW, the remainder to be split up among the other states. As for payment, as I read it, there wasn’t any. The Polish president figured it’s better to give them to another nation than to throw them out. And if there is some form of payment, does that make a difference?

You guys! Now I’ve gotta watch the movie again. It’s been a good 12 months since last viewing. But not tonight. It’s late and…

Just announced on seven news they expect Hawkins to not be cited due to the Holman case, difference is though saints player had both arms pinned so can’t protect yourself

    Exactly what I was about to post!!! I can’t believe they’re comparing a one-arm-pinned tackle to a two-arms-pinned tackle. There’s no justification.

I wrote after the first quarter that Fritta may have been stoned. My judgement was reconfirmed as not being without merit as he hadn't had a touch. If he was on something, it must have started peaking after the quarter time break as he played magnificently with the opportunities he was given.

Whatever he was on, let’s just hope he takes a bunch more of it next Saturday!

The thing i really like about this team is that we seem to have an abundance of every shape/type of afl player. We have super smalls, crumbers, wirey forwards, forwards, medium size bulls, elite speedsters, hard nuts, talls and super talls etc etc.

Variety is the spice of life!

I disagree with this. This is the true beauty of freedom of speech. You get to see how people react when filled with emotion. I find it quiet insightful.

Honestly some of the game day commentary is ridiculous. Calling it out is valid. I’d do it at the ground if a supporter was having a crack at our players the way some do in the game day thread. I don’t see it any differently just because it’s online.

I reckon the gameday thread has saved many a TV screen. And probs a marriage or two
