but if the government doesn't get its act together with the quarantine hotels

Idk why they even chose to quarantine people in hotels. This was always gonna go south. I know, hindsight is 20/20. But I’ve been thinking from the get-go that while building a purpose-built facility for quarantining, preferably in the middle of nowhere, they could’ve quarantined returning Aussies in disused army barracks for example. The hotels they’re using are not designed for quarantining and no amount of adaptations will ever make them suitable. AND, they’re all in the heart of the city! There’s an invitation for spreading if ever I saw one. I had to quarantine in a hotel in Adelaide and I lost count of the instances of potential for breaching rules. And this was AFTER the second wave and long lockdown in Melbz.
    Anyways, that’s my two bob’s worth. ??

Yes fair point probably not that many current players at Carlton I hate either. But there are plenty of past players, administrators and about 70,000 incredibly arrogant members that just make me hate that club. Second only behind Essendon for me.

Well, we agree on Essendon being hands down the most hate-able of them all. ?

Came on here to say 'credit where credit is due', to find you'd got in first, DD. Rather has it all, I'm bound to concede - back-with-the-flight courage, air, angularity, and capped by a clutch goal.

Cummon, Kozzie, you know what you've got to beat!

Very nearly didn’t happen due to Chol. ?

I like both of those players too but I still [censored] hate Carlton.

There’s actually not one current Carlton player that I can honestly say I hate.
Brendan Fevola used up a lifetime of hate-credit imo.

Watching the swans/ blues game. How refreshing it is to hear Jason Bennett calling. So much better than BT. He just calls it with no crap or nonsense.

I love Jason Bennett and Nigel Carmody in commentary. Idk why they can’t be used on Fri and Sat nights.

Yeah... I disagree with you on this one Rusty.

To be honest, I can't recall our last win on a Friday night and then what the subsequent media saturation was like, but I'd imagine it's already had a day to be dissected in many other outlets elsewhere, hence Channel 9, or wherever you get your consumption of football from have made a call that it's out of the 24hour news cycle.

However, I would be surprised if on AFL360 there isn't a bit of a dissection from Gerard.

I also disaagree about an 'anti' Melbourne bias. I think things fall the way of larger clubs, and sometimes (or lots really) towards the home ground advantage, but that's not anti Melbourne, that's just favourtism (implicit?) towards the bigger clubs.

But mate, we see what we want to see.

I agree with RN. I’m not a conspiracy theorist nor am I paranoid. What I use as a gauge if you will is what my friends who barrack for a team other than the Dees are saying. Lately it’s been along the lines of, “you’d think you guys would be getting way more media attention since you’re on top of the ladder.” And these are Richmond and Collingwood and even Essendon supporters!

More telling though, is what I hear from neutrals. Couple of weeks back, can’t remember which round it was, we were still unbeaten and on the channel seven nightly news report, sports bit, the first since our most recent win, I wasn’t in the room watching it. But... my son was. He has zero knowledge  of footy and even less interest and having watched it, said, “Geez mum, your team just won yet another game, and they’ve (channel seven) spent more time talking about some Collingwood player squeezing his teammate’s bum.” Like I said, very telling.

I agree with Little Goffy. It is a rubbish headline. The Indigenous Round is very important and we as a club have shown great respect (as we should) for a long time

I totally agree. This is such an important issue. And I for one think LG has every right to express feelings borne of passion for our beloved Dees. If not in DLand, then where else?
