Would that be the Gerard Healy that abandoned the Demons for the Swans for the big money in 1985 just when we needed him and his playing abilities heading into 1987-1988?
-
There was a guy with a mop and bucket in the centre square at 3/4 time mopping with water and whatever else in the water. Then two of our players slipped over where he’d been mopping!
-
So 96,000 is not a big crowd?
-
Petty has been a back. He had one good game as a forward against terrible opposition. Give it a rest.
-
Tell our guys to watch Brisbane on tonight’s replay and copy their forward players!
-
7 points??? do you guys who do nothing but footy know how much this means to some of us who do real jobs??? wake up fools stop bombing it in to the forward line get it out over the back and score quicker
-
This was so obvious to anyone and everyone at the game. Surely in the post match analysis it will be obvious to the coaches and players who are planning for next week’s game.
-
He looked a bit out of sorts yesterday. Maybe a virus??
-
Never in doubt…

May also gave Melksham a big hug onfield at the end of the game when the handshakes were happening.
-
We had two of our best players out too.
-
We beat Collingwood.
-
O great we’ve selected a VFL team!
-
I’m amazed nobody has noticed the turnover king Lachie Hunter. Please leave him out of the side! And that was Harmes’ worst game ever. Kozzie Picket is not contributing to the best of his ability since signing on. He hangs back or overruns the ball or flies for ungettable marks. Tomlinson must be selected on his form on KB. The team and the coach must sit down and watch the last two Collingwood and Port Adelaide performances and learn how the top two sides are kicking goals. Spread out in the forward fifty guys and don’t bomb it in. Ever! It’s the forward fifty mess and poor connection that’s messing us up.

His field kicking not “he’s”.

I disagree with the hysterical commentary in this thread. We lost because we missed several easy shots on goal. The players played hard and well. We missed Clayton Oliver and Harrison Perry. That is all.
-
Come off it mate we only lost by four points against a top four side at their very partisan home ground.
-
That’s what it does.

Jack Riewoldt and Hawkins both said on AFL360 tonight that this is the wrong decision.

2.8 Ruckman who grabs the ball from a boundary line throw in or in a ruck contest. If a ruckman elects to grab the ball instead of hitting it and is tackled, then it will be an automatic free kick against that ruckman. He will not be given the benefit of prior opportunity. This happened to Chol tonight and no comment from the umpires or commentators, no free kick. Has the rule changed?

Exactly

Jaded is female.

I don’t agree with high hit bumps. But Kozzie playing tough sends a message. It was a split second action and the doggies player lowered his knees. He also got up straight away so no damage done. it says: I may be small, I may be a MFC player but watch out!
-
What a great way to go out: as Captain of the Premiership team. A great player, commentator and leader. Well done Daisy!

The praise of Scott and Ducker Selwood on the AFL website, calling Scott a ‘genius’ and Selwood the greatest ever Geelong player is nauseating. So they beat Swans on a day when the Swans didn’t turn up to play and had stage fright in the GF. Whoopee doo!
