I'd rather go out with my mates and punt than be locked down all the time.

I read on another post that Carlton is the only team to win wooden spoons in both the aflw and the men's in the same year.
We might do the opposite this year because of people like Daisy.
I'm calling Daisy Pearce medal for the AFLW grand final best on ground. Just like the Norm Smith a Melbourne great.
When the women's football league got announced Daisy said she wouldn't play unless it was for Melbourne.
Norm Smith famously got sacked and said "I am Melbourne" There are similarities.

Does anyone know whos home game the Collingwood v Melbourne game was last year? It normally swaps but not sure on this one.

The Vic state government is the architect of this farce, and as such should bear the financial responsibility.
No tin rattling before the government has poured its resources into the sport it helped to strangle.
I think Dan Andrews might be back in 4 2 6

I'm living in a small coastal town at the moment that has had no cases of Covid.
More people are wearing MND beanies than masks when walking along the beach in open air. No positive lingers t-shirts spotted yet though.
I'm hoping that big freeze 7 doesn't get overtaken by lock down 4.

He and Jackson both need work.
Jacko can play all over the ground.
Jacko can take a contested mark.
Jacko isn't in the prime of his career and floundering.
I hope Weid can do what T Mac, Hunt and ANB have done. Nothing would make me happier but I am not holding my breath. Trade him to Collingwood and let them pay his salary

It speaks volumes of Neil Daniher that previous players will do anything for him.
I can't wait for Farmer to go down the slide. Surely dressed as a wizard.
I don't care where it is as long as it goes ahead

I can't remember tomohawk or Jack rewoilt being incapable of holding a mark. They have come from and built premiership winning sides.
Petty can mark it and kick straight.
I'm sick of the idea Weid is still developing or lacks confidence.
Nathan Jones is still developing but it gets to a point in your career when you need to bring something. Not fluke a few marks in a final when everyone else fell over like Bradbury won gold

Would prefer @binman idea

Seriously why are we discussing the trade/draft period right now, when we're 10-1 at the halfway mark of the 2021 season?
if there has ever been a season where we don't have to start thinking about the trade/draft period mid-year, it's this [censored] one!
10-1* asterisk on the 1.
Wasn't long ago craft day was the best day of the year to be a Melbourne supporter

Don't forget the year the AFL allowed the umpires to wear pink and our pink v shaped jumper for women's breast cancer round. Massive clash then.
The ABC has lost its soul in reporting news accurately and is much more concerned about identity politics. Did Covid mistakenly come out of a Wuhan lab was a massive story for the last 12 months. The ABC ignored it and poked fun on it in their Media Watch segment. Now Joe Biden has called an inquiry they are pretending it is knew news.

The umpiring has only robbed us of the longest streak in our history

Drop Oliver 38 possessions, 27 contested, 13 clearances, 9 tackles,3 goals and we still can't win.

What's the sun in the eyes situation for those sitting in the Eastern Stand on the Top Level (500s) for a 4pm game on a Sunny day at this time of the year?
It depends on the reflection from the mullet in front of you.

That one player is often someone the opposition forgets about. For me that player wears number 15.

It doesn't matter how good an individual player is they are only one cog in the wheel.
If having an absolute champion on your list translated into premierships we would have won plenty with Robbie Flower.

I'm obviously happy we got the points, but it felt a little flat. Not even sure who our star was. Probably Tommy in the first half. And some of our smalls kicking goals when we needed, Spargo, Kosi, ANB etc.
Will need to lift big time against the Doggies and lions.
9 from 9 but we need to lift. It must be difficult hating life.

How?
I can accept that we can set up and plan to win whether or not we win centre clearances.
But how exactly will we be "far less dangerous" by winning them?
We setup to win where we think we can be damaging. Gone are the days where we tried to win centre clearances at all costs and just banged it forwards in hope, only to have it go back the other way when our players were out of position.
-
We can thank Ooze for our centre clearance work.
I remember hearing Clarko say centre clearances weren't a KPI for the Hawks when they were winning all their premierships.
On a simple level our centre clearance strategy is to win when we will be damaging and at the same time ensure when they win it won't be and we will repel.
There is a reason we have Gawn, Ollver and Petracca in there and lose the centre Cley more often than not yet keep winning. We could adjust to win centre clearances every week with those blokes but we would be far less dangerous

I wasn't aware T Mac was injured last year
If he was why did they play him?
I think it is a permanent injury. He is always apparently stretching his toes to mitigate against it.
