  1. Well put! Its interesting to read some of the defensive reactions. Are his opinions completely 'unprovable'? Given the clubs trajectory of success of the past 50 years you'd hardly think so..
  2. Well, that he has, ad nauseam. For example... https://thewest.com.au/sport/carlton-blues/worst-20-years-of-a-football-club-legend-mark-maclure-slams-carlton-after-trouncing-ng-b881204963z
  3. Agree DS. He showed glimpses of this last year. He could become such a weapon, not unlike Petracca, only better IMV.
  4. Well that is an interesting thought given hIs instinct before any other when he is in possession of the pill is to handball.
  5. By whom? To be frank Old Dee, I believe that to be somewhat of a myth. Along with a home base, what the club needs more than anything else is members.
  6. Agree. Most likely the latter, regardless of what happens other than a Flag this year.
  7. Thanks for the snapshot Mika. Its apparent to me from what I have read from fellow posters that what was dished up last night symbolizes an administration that is in a real funk and bereft of ideas.. Am I reading correctly that the only tangible notion put forward was the consideration of adding more sub-committes? Good grief!
  8. Just when you thought the club didn't love you anymore Tom , then this happens!
  9. Hi all, I recently decided to join up on this site given that over the years I have often visited this forum to read, learn and mostly enjoy the contributions and views of passionate MFC supporters. I thank you all. I would like to make a positive contributions to this site and therefore to start with would like to share an interview that was recently recorded with a current multiple premiership winning coach. Whist this interview may not be directly related to AFL football, I believe nonetheless offers tremendous insight into the thoughts, views and philosophies ( including player recruitment) of the very successful NRL coach of the Sydney Roosters in Trent Robinson. A number of you may be immediately put off by the fact this interview is conducted by Mark Bouris and with a coach from a different code. Fair enough. Im not here to judge. However, if you are willing to get push past this, I believe you may just enjoy many of the insights into coaching, leadership and recruitment that is offered. For Storm fans, please feel free to delete. For those of you who decide to click on the link, I hope you enjoy the interview.
  10. Point well illustrated. On the other end of the spectrum was one Gary William Buckenara. A hardly muscular, bespectacled, pasty nerdy looking bloke with a rather awkward and non athletic looking physique to say the least. But he could also play.
