People need to stop ripping into @Dr evil As per his intel/contacts whatever you want to call it, at the time that he received info it was looking extremely likely that Smith was going to join us. It sounds like Smith changed his mind at the last second and if Dr Evil hadn't received an update just before FA kicked off, how was he supposed to know? I respect the Doc for providing what he knew and things can change very quickly. Smith is going to the pussycats, so we move on now and put our focus on Brown and Phillips.

If we don't get Smith, we should push for Tom Phillips hard, we need another winger to help Langdon. Not getting Smith wouldn't be the end of the world, Phillips is a lot younger and we would get more years out of him.

I don't understand why a lot of people are knocking this decision. Look at Travis Boak for example, he's a veteran who didn't have a great 2019 and a lot of people were saying he was done. He got himself into form with a solid pre season and he tallied incredibly well in the brownlow this year. I'm not saying that Jones is of the same calibre that Boak is, but if the hunger is still there i'm sure Jonesy will give the off season a red hot crack to try and get back to some decent form. I think he understands that games are not given so i'm sure he'll put in work to reach his 300 games.

I love lord Nev but if he can get a gig at the pies for a couple of years and be in their best 22 i'd be wrapped for him. Hopefully we can get a early or late 3rd round pick for him. Definitely opens up more opportunity for Lockhart

If I was MFC I'd be calling Tom's manager right now to enquire. Why give Smith a contract for 2-3 years or look at Polec when we can get Phillips who's 24. Imagine Langers and Phillips on each side of the wing, i'd be bloody stoked!

I hear Collingwood are looking for more tall forwards, if we were to get Mihocek could possibly trade Mcdonald to the pies? And if they were wanting more, maybe the pick we get from GWS for Preuss. I'd say Mihocheck is a late second rounder or early third.

Just read an article from Jon Ralph saying that Polec is more than likely to stay at north now after receiving “almost no interest” from rival clubs. Maybe we're not super interested, could be due to his personality issues I keep hearing about.
