  2. 6. Oliver 5. petracca 4. Salem 3. Gawn 2. Jordon (9 tackles, 4 of them inside 50!) 1. Langdon
  3. I hope he lost all the money he had on freo one of the worst commentary performances I’ve ever had the pleasure of listening to!
  4. Will Schofield’s commentary is disgraceful
  5. I think Jetta and Hunt will be a bit worried about their spots for next week but I don’t know who played well for Casey today? Does anyone have any insights into who played well for Casey today?
  6. 80% disposal efficiency (28 effective disposals). I reckon that’s pretty good for a round 1 effort.
  7. 6. McDonald (9 marks, 5 tackles, 2 goals) 5. Oliver (35 touches @ 80% efficiency in his 100th!) 4. Langdon (14.8kms and 22 touches) 3. May 2. Petracca 1. Lever
  8. Melbourne Demons (@melbournefc) Tweeted: From one 2️⃣3️⃣ to another. A special presentation for our debutant, receiving his jumper from James McDonald. ✨ #FiredUp https://t.co/v2oDUeWbKU How good is this!
  9. Our tackling is fierce I love it one more quarter....
  10. https://t.co/js14eMD6KQ I wanna see us play footy like this again!
  11. About 5mins into the last quarter Gale comments that we look a lot quicker than last year (after Langdon’s run down tackle). Not sure if the whole team looks quicker but Langdon certainly does. I liked hearing this from the opposition....
  12. Thanks IHW I got to see the first three quarters streamed live (multitasking whilst working ?‍♂️) looking forward to watching the last quarter with a nice glass of wine!
  13. Has anyone seen a statement from Viney following his resigning? if not is it strange that he hasn’t said anything publicly yet?
  14. I agree with this After watching last night the port midfielders either read Max’s taps better than ours did or they positioned themselves slightly behind our midfielders to tackle/dispossess them if we were first to the footy. Unless we’re playing against a Grundy or Goldstein or another ruckman that would challenge max for all Australian honours I’d try max forward and then let Jackson/tmac/preuss/whoever take the hit outs. At the very least both midfields will have to watch the ball and will have less of an idea which ruckman will win the tap. maxs dominance in the ruck is an Achilles heal at the moment. its certainly not why we lost last night but somethings gotta change!!
  15. Not sure whether it was my whinging or not but someone was smiling on me today! I was one of the lucky ones that scored a ticket to the game tomorrow night! I feel very lucky and grateful to be able to attend two games in a row....first time since 2018 when I traveled to Melbourne for both finals and then Perth for that prelim we won’t talk about! I’m a very happy demons supporter tonight!
  16. First time poster, long time reader As a Brisbane based supporter and member Im disappointed to say the least that I can’t go to the footy on Thursday night. I took my two daughters to the Gold Coast on Sunday night and although it was a disappointing result the three of us loved being at the game. I was looking forward to taking my eldest daughter on again on Thursday night! I too rang the footy club today to enquire about getting a couple of tix to be told the AFL had made the decision to limit the spectator numbers to 500 because it would cost them too much to open the ground up to more fans! I also emailed the AFL....no response of course! At a time when fan engagement has to be at a premium for the AFL I can not understand this decision even if it costs them a few more dollars. They are spending a fortune for the Victorian clubs to stay in hubs....surely spending a few extra dollars to let as many fans watch the game live is the right thing to do. Disappointed.....
