  1. Geelong brought down. Always.
  2. q.v. @binman’s testimonial for Goody in the last podcast.
  3. Nice one. I went to a game just pre Covid in New York - food and drink was amazing. And padded seats!
  4. Agree it’s fairly ordinary and very pricey. Buying much less at games these days. i strangely half enjoy the hot dogs, adding some mustard. And I try not to think what’s in them. Obliterated beyond anything recognizable thankfully. Four n twenty pies (aka [censored] and [censored]) have been [censored] for many years, and were never good.
  5. I feel like this was a half truth…I’m disappointed in you, DJ. You got my hopes up.
  6. I agree, Binman. I reckon the Roos will either come out flat, or we will. Or they’ll come out with intensity, or we will. Or…we’ll both come out with intensity…or both be flat…or flat out terrible…or…I don’t know, maybe there will be patches of flat out intensity and just plain flatness… I’m not sure which…
  7. It happens. Sometimes good players do better at other clubs. Langdon, for example.
  8. Very begrudgingly, you have to admire the Pies’ determination and belief. Incredible. To do it time and time again. (Umpiring aside)
  9. Yep, this season is well and truly carpeted. Totally fairy-flossed. Absolutely water-tanked.
  10. Great alias, Fritta and Turner. Clever. Made me laugh.
  11. Yep - the difference between the Pies body language coming up the race vs ours was stark. Forget stats, loading etc. - the team is not having fun and playing like a team, and being there for each other. Confidence and team culture can be difficult to build but easily lost. We’ve definitely lost it.
  12. I know right? Unless the telecast sound is behind the action?
  13. Can’t believe Petty’s dramatic drop off. He was so good for a number of games. Now barely gets near it.
  14. Agree re: the mental side of things. I don’t want to harp on about the loading aspect and tactics etc. but the mental side of things is at least 50% of the ball game - true of pretty much all sports. Anyone who has played to a reasonably competitive level knows that. Yes, the running game and fitness, and tactics are all important and make up the other 50%. You can’t do it without those, but psychology is so important. They just don’t believe this year.
  15. I think that 15 meter turnover was miscalled actually - it was Rivers. Thought he was one of the few who showed some grit and courage, and occasional composure. But you know, most sucked, so…
  16. 6 Bowey 5 Petracca 4 TMac 3 Gawn 2 Viney 1 Salem
  17. Their kicking skills are so much better than ours.
  18. Salem was the Supreme Architect this afternoon. Back to his precise, poised, best. We are an 80% better team with him playing like that. Very impressive.
  19. Yep. Reminds me of that joke about the optimist and pessimist. The pessimist says, “This can’t get any worse.” To which the optimist replies, “oh yes it can!”
