Love it. After all, JvR is same height as Neitz and Luker is 1cm shorter than Schwatz for comparison to some past, key forwards 😁

Christian Petracca’s 2024 Season Ending Injuries
Lexinator replied to pitmaster's topic in Melbourne Demons
IMO Trac was in B&F and AA form, sorely going to be missed. Hope you feel and get better soon CP5. Hopefully like Oliver missing chunks of games last year, makes others lift to higher levels. Hopefully Dees can finish best they can with focus on youth development for rest of season and 1 eye on a better season in '25. -

Looking at a reply, 2nd quarter at 15:57 mins remaining, I believe Trac shakes his head and says something along the lines he's okay on the boundary line to 2 staff members. Bit hard to lip read off a phone screen but I remembered it live yesterday. Less then a minute of game time later around 15:04, he comes onto the field. I think it's fair the medical team were concerned, but looks like Trac had the final say. Incredibly brave of him, the benefit of hindsight making it more look like a reckless decision. -
I would like to see Woewodin be given a crack and at least a few full games too. Billings and Laurie not showing much, let the kid have a go! (Feel like a broken record when it comes to Woewodin).

Glad someone responded to the announcement over the DL radio for a doctor. -
Christian Petracca’s 2024 Season Ending Injuries

I believe this happened in central Victoria last year in a juniors comp. The kid received a hard tackle, went off, went back on and collapsed, went unresponsive and died. This could of been a lot worse. Hope Trac gets and feels better soon 🙏 -
I can relate to this in many ways, thanks for sharing layzie. I hope you get through the personal challenges as best you can. I agree footy comes around so quickly. That with for example, constant trade, draft commentary during season and post-season it's become like most things in society a needs-now basis and accessibility 24/7, which is unhealthy and exhausting physically, mentally and emotionally. Personally find it easier to just watch neutral games, less expectations and goes back to basics of enjoying it as fun and entertainment. And with the highs and lows, ebbs and flows, history is etched with Melbourne Demons 2021 Premiers, and there's nothing anyone can do to change that, which I am so grateful to have been alive to witness this.

ANB has been one the better players this year, one of if not his best seasons.

A new dawn for the Demons - our 2025 squad
Lexinator replied to ElDiablo14's topic in Melbourne Demons
Demons 2024 reminds me of the Tigers 2021 season. Teams started to go past them, good enough to win but the decline began. -
DL - lost the plot 🤪

It's funny how someone can see it very different to each other, that's why I really like this thread 🙂

I hope he finds solace in his travels.

6. Gawn. Dominant around ground. 5. McDonald. Best defender today by miles, playing his best footy in years. 4. JvR. Took lots of strong marks, not enough support by the other talls. 3. Langdon. Ran and actually was one of the players hardest at the ball today from Dees. 2. Rivers. Some good run and carry at times. 1. Pickett. Not enough help from fellow midfielders or small forwards. ANB stiff, did a good tag job but his general defensive work was missed in other parts of the ground because of his role.

One of your dad's bumps would of been nice.

If Roos bring that same pressure against Eagles, they are a genuine sniff. Out: Billings, Laurie, Turner. In: Woewodin, McAdam, Tholstrup. Go bit smaller for more forward half pressure given the foot skills are way off at the moment.

Hospital kicks to 1 v 3...

Pathetic. Filth just want it more. Should be enough motivation from last year and last week to outwork these 💩heads! Keep turning over in their forward 50, kicking to 1v1 on wings or straight to an opponent. Oliver should just try win the ball and distribute by hand, killing us by foot. Gawn, McDonald, Roo, and maybe Rivers having a crack, everyone needs a kick or 2 up their butts and lift, infuriating to watch this team ATM. Lift!!!

I wonder what 💩 Hardwick is going to say about Marvel Stadium tonight 🤔 😁

Good on Norf. I remember those days when a H&A win was rare and felt like winning a GF.
