Yes I am. Are you?

Langdon and ANB would be fitter Im not convinced Kozzie couldn't handle the wing Wouldn't be less fit than Tomlinson, Jones, Harmes or Brayshaw
-
What about Kozzie? Speed tick Agility tick Aggression tick Tackling tick Worth a shot perhaps?

May and Lever - Best Defenders in Last 20 Years?
Reader replied to Reader's topic in Melbourne Demons
Cheers, our defence is working really well and only getting better If Brown was fit we would be looking at top 4 -
Could be, would be great to see a young player make wing his own
-
Following on from great season last year both May and Lever have been playing amazing footy. Lever was bog against the Tigers May was outstanding against Dogs Huge upgrade from Oscar and Frost. Would have to go close to being our best key position defenders in the last 20 years. Thoughts?

Great post, couldn't have put it better. I have confidence in the club and the players continuing to improve. -
Happy with that, not convinced ANB but worth a shot

I think Bowey would be good but its a bit early, he would need to have a remarkable year to handle a full season plus finals given the wear and tear on an 18 - 19 year old. So give Bowey a go and then rotate Salem and Bedford and Tomlinson? Too early for Rosman Wouldn't mind Deakin Smyth, but that is a huge call as well

Don't recall his jumper number -

Dogs were putting him under pressure all day with repeat forward entries and he stood up really well He was supercompetitive one v one, even left his man to jump and punch the ball away His disposal was good under pressure with no costly turn overs He's great to watch Pretty lean, as you would expect given he has probably been training his guts out trying to win a spot but given his ability and determination it's not a major issue- 69 replies

He's quick, genuine pace -
Oscar had 6 years with us and was deemed (correctly imho) not good enough Countless times Oscar was shown up as being ineffective Above all Oscar looked nervous Good luck to him personally but it's an I indictment on Carlton picking him up Carlton have little key position depth so maybe his selection obviously makes sense to them but not us I say thanks but no thanks and I'm grateful to the club for having the intelligence to move him on so we don't have to worry about how many mistakes he will make

Deakyn Smith - had a good game for Casey yesterday playing back pocket, he's smart player, good disposal and courageous, I think we have found a good player, reminds me of Richmond's Baker Great addition to the young depth Much better player than Kobe Farmer -
Correct Rosman played forward
-
Would of played around 60 minutes I reckon he is not 100% for yet but given his standing and the way the team needed him yesterday he will probably push to be selected
-
Angus - he was captain for the day, you can tell he is a tough, classy AFL level on baller Daw - did ok, big frame, reasonable fitness, didn't pluck any massive grabs, ok in the ruck
-
The Dogs were on top all day but we did not stop trying it was a game played in our defensive half Declase - played well given the Dogs were dominant, took at least 5 marks, has a long kick on him, only his first game so needs time to build confidence Kozzie - gun, excellent fitness and tremendous work ethic, tough, fast and athletically gifted, he can definitely play midfield, side steps, twists, just a ripper Petty - great defensive game considering under the pump all day, plenty of intercept marks, will slot straight in if May and Lever need help, would prefer him play instead of Tomlinson Laurie - worked hard, got caught holding the ball trying to do a side step but didn't let it demoralised him, would like to see him play wing in the same game as Baker to get a read on who has more impact Rosman - didn't have much impact but that could be because the ball was hardly ever kicked to him

Hopefully we get the Egg from Richmond -
One positive is that hopefully Jordan and Sparrow will learn a lot from playing against a midfield of Bontempelli, McCrae, Dunkley, Liberatore.....these 2 are not instant AFL ready like Oliver but surely will play better next game
-
Add a champion/AA Oliver plus Kozzie whom I saw buzzing around in the midfield for Casey and he was terrific will make a huge difference Angus as well Plus Salem and we are much better Not sure Baker is good enough, thoughts?
-
Not really
-
Appreciate the correction, I remember all the experts telling us we should take Hayden Young ahead of Jackson lol
-
Will be interesting to see whether Rivers (pick 32) is a better player than Hayden Young (pick 3).......Rivers is a gun
