Perfect post in my opinion. I am a fan of Miller however i do acknowledge that he needs to kick more goals. He has a good pair of hands, has a big body and no matter how much we are losing by, he keeps presenting. Over pre season himself and Newton need to practice kicking goals. All Miller needs is confidence in having a shot. If he misses, he misses every single player in the AFL misses shots on goal.

He could be the perfect CHF for us because he never stops presenting at the ball. Time for the FD to show some faith and instill some confidence in him because he needs it at the moment. Simple tell him inside 50 have a shot no matter what it is your job. Give him a firm plan on what he needs to be doing and that is kicking goals.

Dominating at VFL level equates to jack schitt! Collingwood have been dying to find someone to replace fraser and rocca. If Dawes was a strong player he would have been in that collingwood 2009 side as a regular fixture.

A player for player deal could work if people think he is a chance at making it, but pick 18 is still decent enough to unearth untapped potential that could help us build towards a flag.

All I am saying is maybe Malthouse doesn't like Dawes as a player or a bloke. No one knows if a player can be better at another club so why do people slam them without any rational thought

Brisbane Lions defender Joel Macdonald is reported to be seeking a trade to a Melbourne club.

The Age newspaper says 25-year-old McDonald, who grew up in Melbourne before moving to Queensland as a teenager, was believed to be on the move because of Lions' salary cap pressures, but that he was also disappointed to miss selection in the club's two finals matches after playing all 22 home-and-away matches.

Definately need to have a crack at him. Breaks the lines which we need and has great disposal and can kick goals from outside 50 which is also what we need. Go after him hard.

After reading these posts it makes me wonder how many people have seen chris dawes play. I for one enjoy watching him play as he is actually fairly agile for his size from what ive seen in the vfl. He is aggressive and likes the body on body stuff and knows how to out manouvre an opponent one on one which I believe none of our forwards can do. He is exactly what we are after he is young big and well developed in the body. I think some people just dont like him as he is a Collingscum player

Pick 250 is too high. Woeful footballer, he has never played a good game and far too short for a key post. He has nothing going for him. If Hawthorn want to give away pick 9 or 25 then just give them Miller or Richmond could just give them Raines cause I think both are better than him and I don't rate any of them at all.

I suggest you think before u start slagging people off. I am a close mate of Mitch's. The reason he hasn't played much is injuries. Hip opperation, shoulder and also he broke a bone in his foot. The only worry is his shoulder but the docs think that it is going to be fine. Also he is not too short as the hawks used him in the ruck. You need to get some facts or think before slagging players off.

ok we dont need Peake we have Simon Buckley.

On the pro side he is as quick if not quicker and gets the same amount of ball.

On the con side he butchers it sometimes the same as Peake and is injured as much as Peake.

No need for him when we have his twin basically

We are definately on the improve but at the moment with some of our young players we look good when given space. When we start striging wins together the space will be cut down and we will be foound out purely because our players are too skinny. One Pre-Season will not fix this so I am tipping 6 wins hopefully 1 or 2 more but until our skinny players bulk up we wont be a force. That said I am very confident of our players being able to do this and look forward to the mighty dees up and at em again.

clearly it is a joke of a thread as i knew there was no chance of it happening.

I know im dreaming but i just want to think about it for a while and wonder if by any means he could slip to us haha. Id be happy with one player from another club who is half decent so we dont have such a big gap between our good young players and out duds. We have so many good young players but no decent mid age players. Then we have veterans so imo to be strong we need at least one decent mid age player.
