  1. No we need next years first because it could well be pick 3
  2. I think many on here over rate where Petracca sits in the league as a mid. He’s hesitant of forceful body contact, has terrible disposal, can burn others in better spots and isn’t quick. Yes he’s still got other attributes that make him a really good player but Humphrey has way more upside and could lead our midfield for a decade. GC aren’t giving us Humphrey and picks. That’s a dream, Humphrey is very likely a dream. I could easily see us sending pick 23 and Petracca to them if indeed Humphrey somehow nominates us.
  3. Thats what I’d say if I was GC. You’d be nuts to swap Humphrey for Petracca. I’d say Humphrey is the superior player right now. The only way it gets done is if Humphrey drives it and that’s unlikely and still no guarantee. We’d need to offer stupid money to get him out. Still I remain foolishly hopeful.
  4. Are you seriously telling me you turn down such an offer?
  5. Personally I can’t see a world where GC give up Humphrey and then throw in a pick. It’ll be him for Trac if we get very very lucky.
  6. I’m in although a tad nervous.
  7. This and add the fact that the GC have their academy churning out top 10 and 20 picks every year. If TDK is worth $1.7mill the we’re going to have to pony up some serious coin. It’d be some welcome news that’s for sure.
  8. But you’re not GC and really you’re just ecstatic at the prospect of getting Humphrey to the club.
  9. Isn’t the plan to use Waverley short term?
  10. This draft group has been labelled as very weak.
  11. He played well no doubt. In the past when he played well he got 7-10 coaches votes and 1-3 Brownlow votes. How many votes did he get in that “back to his best” game? He’s a $500k midfielder on $1.4mill.
  12. And one of my favourite players because of it but those days are no longer. I’m still surprised we’re shopping him again. Didn’t we sort this stuff out over the last 2 years?
  13. he’s nowhere near as fit as he was at his best. To think differently is head in the sand stuff.
  14. I’d trade Petracca and Oliver for Humphrey tonight.
  15. Of all the chaos the one that actually annoys me the most is losing McVee. He’s the future, he can read the play, he’s quick and he’s an above average kick. Oliver on the other hand, is unfit, a problem child but we’d all love him to be the 2026 redemption story but that’s very likely the AFL equivalent of a Tatts ticket. Petracca, well enough has been said there. King’s either a bull in a China shop or our next great coach, I’ve no idea which. I really hope the club knows what it’s doing because whilst I’m all for change it needs structure around it.
  16. As far as leaks go. There’s not a club in the comp that can keep this stuff quiet. He only has to tell his mate, manager, mum or dad and away you go. There’s plenty to beat the club with today but I’m not sure there’s any way you can contain this information.
  17. Where’s the fun in that? Today’s been a hoot on here. This is Peak Demonland.
  18. Our Saturday was 2 years ago
