  1. Didn’t think that much of him yesterday to be honest. Seems to just burst out of blocks and make it up as he goes Sam Frost style.

Not sure that manic movement is what we need. Salem was awesome yesterday and really stood out with his composure and skills. Same with Rivers and these are the type of players we need not Saad in my opinion.

  2. I'd have him. Watched him last night. He is very outside and waits in space to get used as Landgon does. Fit perfectly for us.

4th club is a red flag but I believe Port very much wanted to keep him just North came up with a massive offer as they missed on everyone else they chased prior. Left Brisbane with not much form to return home.

They need a ruckman apparently....Preuss for Polec haha?

Haha Preuss does have some currency to the right club. GWS must be desperate. They could cough up something good - Jye Caldwell could be of interest to us if Viney/Brayshaw leave.

I know he is on the outer - but why is Polec on the outer?

He got dropped after the Carlton game - Media made some connection that he was supposed to play a defensive game on Cripps and Shaw didn't rate it. Assume they don't rate him defensively/team first attitude ect. He actually got coaches votes in that game. Assume only by Teague.

To me he is the guy they Viney and Oliver would handball to after they gather the ball in close. He has a nice step and change of direction.

I wouldnt give up much to get him but a swap of sorts with Tmac would work

Lucky you are not negotiating then!  Saad is a gun that would be in first 6-8 players picked every week for us.  If he's available we should be offering 4-5 years and get him in.  He could take Fritsch role of last season at half back, this year it has been Harmes spot.  Saad would be massive upgrade on either.  I can only think of Zac Williams that comes close to the flair of this guy in his role.

Dodoro may be hard to deal with but not impossible.  Essendon love him because he tries to negotiate good deals for them.  If it were Peter Bell i could understand being more circumspect!  I can think of plenty worse...

Essendon have offered him a 4 year deal. They want him. They won’t be letting him go unless they get way overs. I wouldn’t be getting involved.

  6. List management nightmare. Guy on decent coin with multiple years left that can't get a game. Will have to pay some of his salary to move him on you would think.

  7. Freo played with good system. We played with none. They made zero changes we made 7.

We are spent. The season is a joke. Living in hubs, 4 days breaks, Dees travelling every game and playing on tier 2 grounds. The boys have had enough. They will look forward to getting back to their own beds.

Be interesting to see our off field moves heading into 2021. List needs some tinkering and just wonder if we will trade out someone unexpected. We need to change our mix. I am going to back Goody in.

Wake me up round 1 2021

  8. Played in the 2nds practice match last week so isn’t injured

I’d be surprised if we saw him again this season. To me he has just the lacked physicality needed.

Onto season 2021 with a solid preseason under his belt and hopefully we see the Harley of old.

  9. So pleasing to win a game like that. Toughed it out and stuck to the plan

May awesome. So pleased for him.

    Rivers will be a gun

Nice goal by Weid in the 3rd. Liking what I am seeing from him

    Salem was clean tonight

Also big shout out to Dougal Howard. Hold onto the ball as long as you like champ. Thanks mate

  10. Win this and we are ready to launch. I want to believe.

Looking at the AFL season stats this week interesting to see we are ranked 14th in clearances and 18th in tackles (averages). I thought these areas were our one wood? Maybe our game style has evolved for the better!

  11. Brayshaw’s kicking still worries me. In his first year I thought he was going to be an out and out star, not that sure anymore. We are currently playing AVB and Jones on the wing and we have Sparrow as a good inside prospect coming through.  Brayshaw is contracted to 2022. If someone comes for him and we can get a good outside ball user we need to look at it. Offer must be good though.

Also to note - 2 weeks ago he seemed to have little currency.

  12. The positive is we only meet one team that comes off a longer break than us - Freo has 5 days v our 4 into that match.

    All other games we either have the same break (Syd 5 v 5) or a longer break (Bulldogs 7 v 6), (Saints 7 v 6) and (GWS 5 v 4)

Playing round 17 on Saturday you would think a 5 day break is a short as it will be for the round 18 match.

If we stay fit cant see us losing one from here haha

It was noted in the most recent scratch match thread Pruess played and "dominated" the ruck but it he was back from injury. Not sure he has the miles in the legs as yet.

Grundy around the ground is the worry against a TMac or Jackson, if we can break even it goes a long way for us.

Pretty sure Egan also said he is "super fit", or words to that effect..  So, who knows??

Maybe just get Pruess in? He can share the ruck with Jacko 50-50, 60-40 until he builds up. Think this is a better option than TMac. Assuming Gawn needs a few weeks off.
