Very classy interview, credit to Trac

Holy [censored], we were nowhere. Maxxy, you absolute [censored] legend
-
Rather than keep on with the G&T’s, I think I’ll turn it off and regroup for next week. This has been the performance everyone feared, even for the most optimistic of us
-
Started the game with a few mid-strengths, already hit the G&T’s before half time. This could get ugly
-
Sparrow is clunking them tonight
-
We wouldn’t even fit 6 of our reserves players in the North or GCS sides, but love the optimism
-
Parker > Viney Problem solved Edit: Little bit tongue in cheek, but I am big on the fact you should always be looking to improve. Parker is top 5-10 player in our side, if he wanted to come you would never say no.
-
The most recent evidence suggests he is a long, long way ahead of Melksham. Believe Lynch has missed a lot of footy this year through injury but he’s a much more consistent player than Melk and definitely knows how to play a role, plus he’s taller and harder to match up on.
-
Many on here would think Nibbler and AVB would get it done. Depending on how this year pans out, I could be convinced too
-
He's definitely too good to go on the AFL scrap heap. Would think he could play the T-Mac role with ease or alternatively he could play the opposing wing to Ed.
-
I am firmly in the same camp. Think we are probably 2 quality mids off the pace of the best midfields. Yes, we can beat sides but we have been very blessed with both of Clarry and Trac's durability - That won't happen forever. I'm very bullish on Jordon and can see Sparrow making the grade. In my eyes it all comes down to another proper, quick winger and a workhorse mid that fills the gap between Clarry/Trac and the rest

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - JAKE BOWEY
BW511 replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
I have said it previously but that traditional centre role is perfect for him. The linkman and playmaker between the arcs -
This will be the a gut wrenching finals campaign for Jonesy, but his only chance was missed a few years back. He can be proud that he was a part of the rising of the club from the depths of hell - still won’t make it any easier for him
-
I read something today on BigFooty that suggested Talia is well sorted with property developments and will play in the SANFL with his brother Adelaide are really ripping the bandaid off

Hallelujah - Umpire #6 Dean Margetts announces retirement
BW511 replied to In Harmes Way's topic in Melbourne Demons
Those stats don’t do him any favours, you can’t argue with the numbers -
I'm aware of that. The Eagles seem to rely on those two blokes to drag them over the line, yet neither can run out a quarter. Not even close
-
Add Elliot Yeo to this as well. He was quite good in bursts, but cannot run out a quarter. Yeo was getting dirtier as quarters went on and he couldn't keep up. The Eagles players all look so heavy and lethargic. Kennedy and Darling must be cooked during the week, they are constantly sitting under highballs and getting crunched in contests - tough way to make a living

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - JAKE BOWEY
BW511 replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
Everything about last nights game was stacked against him - The Eagles with finals on the line, their big bodies trying to physically intimidate us and the wet weather. He just get's on with business and we look a much more settled side with another good ball user in the mix. -
We are jumping at shadows
-
There has to be something going on behind the scenes at St Kilda, they have so many blokes playing at 70%. I think Billings could play a role for us, would add to the HFF rotation and knows how to kick goals.
-
Bowey could potentially play the traditional centre role in years to come, he has poise and uses the footy well. Exactly what we need between the arcs.
-
I think JJ was a lot better than people remember, he does a lot of grunt work and seems to get on the end of it quite a lot. I think we are two good mids short, don’t think we have enough firepower there at present, which would be much worse if either of Trac or Clarry go down
-
You could also argue he has more opportunity at Melbourne than he would get elsewhere. No club is recruiting him to be an elite/frontline mid, they are recruiting him as a stopper or a role player - so the grass may look greener, but the situation will be the same no matter where he goes. This also relies on another club even wanting him
-
Without going too hard, I would say one of Harmes' greatest issues is that he is a bit wrapped up in himself. He's not a match winner, so he's a role player. If he doesn't want to play a role, he has no place
-
The opportunity for a couple of changes might not be such a bad thing at this time of the year - although I would have preferred it in the last 3-4 weeks We know Goody is stubborn and the chances of the exact squad he wants making it through finals is slim, this might give us a fresh look and open up some other options
