Handy player with more composure and better skills than ANB, Stretch, JKH etc. If someone improves your list and can be acquired at value, you look at him.

Way to underline my point. Jones is on last legs, Sparrow has played all of 2 games, Vandenberg can barely get through a training session without breaking down. Petracca has potential to play more midfield minutes but can’t seem to improve on his tank five years into his career. Brayshaw would leave a huge hole in our midfield. Robbing Peter to pay Paul is not the answer.

It is a total myth that we have a glut of inside midfielders. With Tyson traded out end of 2018 and Jones on last legs out we now have Oliver, Viney, Brayshaw and Harmes as engine room mainstays. That does not qualify as a glut but about the right number in terms of ball winning grunt. Trading out Brayshaw now would be madness. He will bounce back in 2020. He’s too good not to. Solving the outside run issue should not mean diminishing our capacity to win the aggot. What we need to do is replace our Casey quality players like ANB, JKH, Stretch, Wagner et al with classier types who can be fed the ball on the outside. Players who can break lines, make good decisions and execute. Players who won’t [censored] the bed under pressure.

You create a winning culture by winning games of footy. Period. All else is smoke and mirrors.

Winning games of footy takes precedence over sentimentality and loyalty. All options and possibilities should be on the table, including moving on Jones.

No more former stars who have hit their used by date and are looking to top up their super on the way out. We have to get past that strategy. No to Eddie Betts.

Tomlinson is overrated. Doesn’t solve the outside class issue, nor the key forward issue. No thanks.

Patton. No question. If that’s not possible then one of their young small forwards - either Brent Daniels or Bobby Hill.
