umpiring is poor for sure the aspect which has to be addressed is umpires down the field paying frees and effectively overruling umps closer to the play that free against trac last night was an obvious mistake paid by an umpire that was 40 meters away surely decisions by umps closer to the play should take precedence over down field umps

he obviously can't fix the issues. if he could, he would have done it by now we need some aggressive list turnover no doubt. but I'm not handing the keys to someone who has been unable to make any discernible improvements in our game plan after 2 years of trying he had us primed in 2021 and at the pointy end in 22 and 23. since then its been downhill as the game has changed and the rest of the league have adapted We need new leadership and direction. a new voice and ideas Thank you Simon for a fantastic run there for a few years. you're a legend of the club no matter what happens from here

2 things can be true at the same time the umpiring was terrible. but so were we. you say we won all the stats, which we did. that being the case we should have won irrespective of the umpiring but as per usual, the same poor skills execution and fumbles and mistakes that we've seen for the last 2 years were all on show again last night Rant about the umpiring all you like, I rant about it in the game day thread as well, but we are losing because we are not good. the players and coaches all at fault i'm getting very tired of it to be honest. if we are a serios club we need to make big changes
