Mate, i though your were going to spend your time over the next few weeks supporting your grand daughters basketball team if she was playing footy would you have the same attitude. if she good enough to AFLW would you have the same attitude i don't why the same dinosaurs (@picket fence you were born in the wrong century) feel the need to pot the women's team when it has absolutely nothing to do with how the men are performing in fact, the womens team are well coached and show plenty of heart and ticker when they play. I wish the men would show the same care and desire.

Thanks for trying to be constructive Kiltman i'm as grumpy as hell all week so not really in the headspace for it. We need the best people on the board and heading up the football department. Get the right people on the team and everything else will sort itself out. i'm pretty low maintenance as a member. i don't care for marketing or comms or engagement. i just want a competent football team on the field that play with heart and courage. i don't demand flags. they are very difficult to win. I just want the kids to want to come to along to games with me and not be embarrassed. i think steven smith has the right credentials as president. I really hope Paul Guerra can be a success. He has a massive job ahead of him. Peter Jackson is the benchmark, the only competent CEO we have had in decades. First task it to purge the footy dept, top to bottom Bring in the best up and comer as senior coach. bring in an experienced senior assistant (my preference is John Longmire) to mentor him. find the best assistant coaches. We can't influence any of the above. it in the hands of Steven Smith and Paul Guerra now. I hope they are up to the task. And i wish them the best of luck

Nobody is saying goody is solely responsible. The senior players have been dreadful. The board have been derelict in their duties as well. But he’s the head coach. He’s getting paid the big bucks to have us organised and competing. He has failed despite numerous assistant coaching changes around him. At some point the finger needs to be pointed at him.

Based on that age article sounds like Richo and goody will make way. New coaching team will assess list so major departures to take place in close season fy26.

We need leadership around the place. For that reason viney and lever stay for mine.

The slip in standards and descent into mediocrity started under his watch at the Eagles i would prefer Longmire for senior assistant role (if he's interested)

and he's injury prone but if we go down the major overhaul road then we need some senior players to guide the youngsters plus i don;t think we get much for Lever trade wise.

i'd keep Lever. He appears to have leadership capabilities which is a glaring deficiency on our list
