Teague Sacked
Shows how hard it is to get the head coach appointment right. Not sure appointing the caretaker full time is ever a good idea. that said, wasn't given the support needed to succeed. Who's to say Teague couldn't have turned out like Goody with proper backing

Jack Gunston
Fritsch has played the med forward role so well this year. Injury and age profile aside, do we even need Gunston? I don't think so

FINALS: QF vs Brisbane
For the first time in my life i'm jealous of people who live in Adelaide

Adam Cerra
Rivers and LJ don;t want to go anywhere judging by the way they celebrated on Saturday night. And anyways, now that West coast and Freo are both rubbish (Freo has some young talent but not enough imo) i doubt you'll be hearing too much about home sickness for the next few trade periods

i very much doubt we have the cap space. Pipe dream.

COVID & AFL 2021
This is only anecdotal so make of it what you will There is a surprising level of hesitancy out there. I have in-laws and clients who are dubious about the vaccines. Enough to make me wonder whether we'll get to 80% easily. Reckon there will have to be a nudge applied somehow. What's weird is that these people are not anti-vaxx per se (they have had other jabs) rather they are anti covid-vaxx Mandatory vaxxing is legally difficult to do (i know Fair Work are working around the clock trying to figure out the position for employers), perhaps incentives will encourage the slackers. Not sure Anyway, its great to have supply sorted but the next problem to resolve is the hesitancy.

Thanks IHW. I've bookmarked this clip. It will be playing on repeat for some time. (P.S. Thought KROCK call was quite subdued)

The 2021 All-Australian Team
Nic Nat is so overweight it's an embarrassment. If there's one thing i just do not understand about professional athletes it's how they can front up in poor condition. Indicates low standards and total lack of professionalism. I wouldn't have him in my team until he got himself into shape. I don;t understand why Simpson allows it. Imagine what kind of player he would be if he had Maxy's dedication. Maxy every day of the week over Nic Nat

Will Nathan Jones get a farewell game?
If his form warrants it by all means get him in the team or include as medi sub. But his inclusion has to be formed based not for sentimental reasons. We're trying to win a flag here. If not named then get him up on the daish when we accept the cup. Perhaps accept it jointly with Maxy

How young were you when Barass last raised the cup?
I was a twinkle in my daddy's eye

Sacred terminology
People who work for clubs or the AFL referring to the game as an "industry" really grates with me. It's a sport, a game, supposedly community based. of the people. An industry is an economic enterprise, a business, money orientated. I know the money men took over a long time ago but still, it really grinds my gears every time someone talks about the AFL "industry"

St Kilda are real spoil sports. They should have done the decent thing, let Freo win and make the Bombers sweat

FINALS: QF vs Brisbane
Correct but i reckon the cats will bow out in straight sets and either GWS or Sydney will come through instead

Jake Lever Take A Bow
Phenomenal leader. And best moustache in the AFL

Top of the table
Last night was the most momentus victory for this club in my time. I posted last year that this win was easily the best H&A win in my 15 years supporting the Dees (to be fair ‘06 to ’17 was a wasteland so not much competition). I didn’t even consider comparing to our finals victories of ’18 cos obviously finals victories are a level above H&A victories. Right The more I have thought about it today the more I believe that this win tops those finals wins in ’18 (and the elim final victory in ’06 for that matter). Those 2 nights at the G in 18 were amazing. The place was rocking and it really felt like we had finally arrived as a team. As we all know we fell in a heap in the prelim and ’19 was a nightmare season. We rode the crest of a wave in ’18 but ultimately those wins were built on porous foundations. Last night’s victory and performance feels different. It had real substance to it. It was the culmination of what we have been building towards. The manner of the comeback, the team we played, the location, Maxy kicking the winner after the siren. The leadership, guts, never say die attitude was something to behold. The exact qualities we have been missing since forever. It was the embodiment of the new Melbourne. It was no fluke. We’ve fought back in other games this year, most notably against the Lions. If we do when the flag this year we will look back at this game as the catalyst that propelled us to the promised land. The moment when the team and the faithful truly started to believe. I'm convinced we will win it and no amount of MFCSS will change my mind THIS IS OUR YEAR

Finals 2021
They're dangerous for sure but i think scrapping the bye is huge for us. They've been on the road for a long time now, will have played 2 tough finals (reckon the game between them and GWS is 50/50) while we'll be fresh if we face them

FINALS: QF vs Brisbane
Reckon Adelaide is the go. Short distance to travel. There's a chance we will play a GF there so best familiarise ourselves with the ground. And after our epic comeback at the cattery last night I doubt playing Port there in a GF will hold any fears for this group of players.

FINALS: QF vs Brisbane
Swings and roundabouts. I don't think we would have got the advantage in the first place if their was a crowd there last night influencing the umps and the outcome of the game
