With all their outs pre-game and knowing how Geelong feast on weakened teams at the cattery I thought a regulation 50 point for the cats was the likely outcome. I was delighted to be wrong. GWS have dished up some putrid performances this year though, even considering their injuries. From Freo week 1, to the Lions shellacking and the recent loss to the Suns they are definitely not getting full value for the talent on their list. A change of coach might help but I think one of the downsides of being a poorly supported club in a non-AFL location is that the same heat isn’t applied when they do badly. IF a Melbourne served up some of their performances this year and considering the talent on their list I’m sure some serious blowtorch would be applied. They definitely have talent and show some real fight at times but there is a flakiness to them which makes me doubt they'll play a GF any time soon.

@Demonland looks like a "strategic" outage every now and then could be a good way to generate memberships! Posters seem to realise the value of this site once its taken away from them
  4. He has no trade value so we should stick. Give him another pre-season, hopefully he remains injury free and can do a TMac and surprise us all

Can't say i've ever paid much notice to Sam Taylor before. The way he towelled up Hawkins last night was very impressive. If he consistently produces that level performance he should be on our radar to replace May down the track.

18 teams is enough. Send the Suns to Tassie and if finances is an issue get the Tassie govt to tip in large.

Himmelburg has been poor all night. too slow to off load, getting caught HTB, dropping marks, missing set-shots. a liability

The giants need one more goal to ice this

Giants setting up well behind the ball, tackling like tigers and TG on fire up front. Geelong ain't getting back into this

Well this is a pleasant surprise. Hopefully the giants can keep this going

If i could take one player from another team to play for the Dees it would be Toby Greene. Perfect combination of silk and mongrel

There isn't enough talent for an 18th team as it is

GWS will provide more evidence tonight to justify their moniker, Great Waste of Space Can't see any surprises. Sydney Port Doggies Cats will all win comfortably. Don't care about the other games
  17. Wet weather footy - advantage us

Goodwindees mail is pretty reliable. Harmes wasn't team first against the Suns and his form has been so so for awhile. His constant fend offs are getting tiresome as well.

My preference from the start was Astra because its tried and tested technology. Can't believe the stupidity of demonising this vaccine. If it was good enough for the UK it's good enough for us.

Thanks @Nasherand @Demonland. Appreciate all the hard work. You're both delivering a valuable service providing this outlet for us cooped up, cranky Dees tragics

Gil is earning his fat salary this year. It must be a nightmare trying to keep the show on the road

Not sure experimenting this close to finals is advisable. Rivers in time could be a good option. I don't think Salem has the physicality for the role plus he gives us such drive off half back.

It's laughable that Harmes is unhappy with his role. The defensive mid / tagger role plays to his strenghts. He's either delusional, badly advised or both. If he won't do the team thing and stick to his role we'll have to cut him lose.

We might not be allowed in anywhere but if we are Adelaide is closer and logistically easier to get to. Flights would cost an arm and a leg to get to Perth so we'd have to trek over the Nullabor.

Definitely prefer Adelaide. It's easier to get to if the Dees make it
