  1. West has started well
  2. Doesn't look like the Crows have got smaller in the offseason
  3. I thought I had to go the weekend without footy until I realised the women were playing! This AFLW season has really snuck up on me. Hopefully the men's finals don't overshadow the early rounds too much
  4. Other than Erin Phillips the crows have kept their core group of players together. They’ll be favourites again this year. and I know it’s an early call but having to play the crows away, again, puts us at a disadvantage. Not in conceivable both teams win all the remaining games which will put us in second again and a likely granny in Adelaide, again. This game tonight is massive.
  5. Have a soft spot for Bernie Vince. Our first proper trade in yonks and won a B&F.
  6. Huge game first up The Crows are a very tough proposition over there and despite losing Erin Phillips (absolute gun) they still have plenty of skill and experience Around the ball they are just so tough. Marinoff and Hatchard are beasts. They've monstered us in the past This is Daisy's last crack at it, would love if we could bring home the prize this year As ever, we won't lose through lack of heart or endeavour, this girls as always give their best Hard to see a win here. My heart says Dees but head say Crows by 10 points
  7. IF any of their better players do decide to leave he will put in a good word for us
  8. Handy depth Train Joel as a forward and the Weid and a backman. You never know. Might work

Great idea for a thread DS. I love bagging Geelong

Hawkins deserves his spot in the team. He’s been a great forward and to still be doing it as his age is phenomenal. Naming him captain is just weird though.

Some effort Maxy Gawn. Head and shoulders best ruck in the land. And captain. He’ll add more jackets too. Will he make it to 10 I wonder?

Hawkins as captain completely devalues the notion of AA captain. It 100% should be Maxy

Fritsch unlucky. Had put together back to back excellent seasons. Will hopefully have another premiership medallion to make up for it

West Coast loitering in the long grass. I'm sure there is nothing they would like more than to gazump their cross town rivals Good for us as it creates an auction I still want dogga to stay though

Huge call bringing him back for the QF. Very difficult to be match sharp after such a long layoff. And the most likely to make way is melksham you would think and he’s been very good. Unlikely I reckon
  17. Great site. Thanks to Andy and the team for keeping the show on the road. And thanks to all the great contributors whose insights and knowledge of the game make the professionals in the media look like muppets

Raynor should hire Paddy Cripps' QC. Worth every cent apparently

  21. Tough draws make you stronger in the long term. Short term can be a disadvantage if you cop injuries or energy levels get sapped. we looked full of run on Friday night. Our tough draw hasn’t disadvantaged us at all, the opposite in fact. We’re battle hardened now. Good luck opposition.
  22. We are 7-0 on the road this year. Playing in hostile territory has not bothered us so I don't believe being outnumbered during finals will make a difference That said, every Dees fan should get along to the G to support the team
  23. The Stadium is owned by the State Government and administered by a trust I believe. GFC are tenants. Not sure how much rent they pay
  24. The Bombers should try to re-hire him. The one person from their past they should actually bring back into the fold

Don't get me wrong. He shouldn't go to Essendon, its a basket case. Not even Clarkson could succeed there. But i reckon GWS would have been a good fit, out of the limelight he could have put in place his ideas without the media glare
