  1. I remember Sicily successfully appealed medium contact that got downgraded to low contact this season for his kick. I think we have to attempt to take it to the tribunal
  2. Pickett turns his head and follows the ball before contact, the elbow is not intentional as he is looking to push off the player to burst away, I think the first angle looks bad, but the second one shows he is just following the footy. Clearly low impact. If we go by Collingwood lawyer the Adelaide player runs himself into his elbow. Lol. To soon?
  3. We know there is only one wizard. There can't ever be another
  4. Looks like a meniscus injury based on mechanism
  5. Did the rules only change for the one season? Because the year before Mac Andrew the doggies took Ugle Hagan as an academy player with pick 1!
  6. Can anyone explain why we couldn't pick Mac Andrew as a Melbourne academy player last year, when gold coast are allowed to pick 2 academy players in the top 10 this year?
  7. We give 6, 7 (from GWS salary dump) and pick 11 for pick 1. WC give pick 6 and 11 for norths pick 2 Melb get 1 WC 2 and 7 North get 3, 6, 11 plus the rest That means WCE will get Curtis at 2 or 3.
  8. I just watched this video, was from 5 months ago, but seems spot on. And if we get this kid he could be a 1 in generational player
  9. The only reason I can see McDonald in the team is because he can ruck the forward boundary throw ins and Max can drop a kick behind the play. But why pick McDonald for this role when we have Grundy available. That really makes no sense. McDonald offered no forward pressure, no aerial contest and was to slow on the lead last week. I'm baffled by that decision
  10. Natural justice will occur on the 30th of September. Sit tight, this could get very messy.
  11. I reckon Jack Viney could pip trac for most brownlow votes this year. He has been incredible. But I don't think either of them will win it.
  12. I had exactly the same thought. The bloke can't get a game with Oliver and Sparrow injured despite being the best midfielder for a long time at Casey. Harmes has been poor this year, pretty annoyed at the selectors.
  13. Watch out for Dorko snipering blokes lads
  14. Central tendons run through the belly of the muscle. " The central tendons of the hamstrings run from the ischial tuberosity to different insertion sites medially (the semimembranosus and semitendinosus muscles) and laterally (the biceps femoris [BF] muscle) around the knee joint".
  15. It sounds like a central tendon injury. These can take much longer to rehab. Slow heavy load that progresses slowly to faster movements. It is very individual in healing time. With load progression measured by the medical team The week in hospital would of made his hamstring worse because he was not able to load the tendon during this time. Tendons love appropriate load. No load actually makes them worse. We are doing the right thing, we need Oliver in September and there is no point getting him back when he is not ready.
  16. Could Bowey play Spargos role in the forward line? He is similar in that he is elite by foot and cool under pressure. Can kick it further than spargo and is more likely to convert his opportunities
  17. I had exactly the same thoughts. Surely BBB should of come in!
  18. I agree Rivers needs to get that out of his game. He played a terrific last qtr. But I can recall his skill error by foot resulting in a goal in the last qtr over the past 3 consecutive weeks.
  19. The Hawks are awful this year and they will be coming back from a big interstate flogging. We need to consider the bigger picture anyone that is not 100% fit should be rested (not to casey). The medical and performance team will know who those people are. A freshen up now will help us against some very strong opposition coming such as Port in Adelaide and the filth on kings day.
  20. I really enjoyed that game. And yes we were lucky to win but I am proud our boys were mature enough to win, when we probably should not have. The Gold Coast showed they have what it takes to be a very good footy team. Rowell early took it up to clarry and tracs by beating them at contested ball. The coaches put more work into him to nullify his influence and then Noah Anderson was as good as I have seen a player play in our competition. With some luck Gold Coast should play finals this year with that performance. Proud of the boys for finding a way to win against a very good opponent.
