    My predicted team

    B: Buntine, D.Turner, Adams

    HB: Hibberd, J.Smith, D.Smith

    C: Howes, Dunstan, Burgoyne

    HF: Sestan, van Rooyen, K.Turner

    F: Moniz-Wakefield, Schache, Jefferson

    FOLL: Verrall, Jordon, Goonan

IC: Farris-White, Steele, Baldi, Peters, Valentine, McRae

Kye Turner the defender at half forward? I don’t think so.

Adding Fritsch is a different proposition to adding Schache or JVR - the players who are currently available.  If Fritsch was available this week then I doubt Laurie plays.

At this stage, I don’t believe they’re much of a difference between Fritta and JVR. in future there will be, but not right now. And if the dogs forwards get a hold of us and Tmac has to go back, we severely lack a forward target because Brown will be by himself

I guess you're referring to Pickett, ANB, Spargo, Chandler and Laurie.  In the pre-season we rotated Pickett and ANB through the midfield to lessen the load on last year's core.

    Opponent: Richmond
CBAs: 31 - James Harmes 20, Clayton Oliver 20, Max Gawn 16, Christian Petracca 15, Brodie Grundy 15, Kysaiah Pickett 13, Tom Sparrow 12, Alex Neal-Bullen 7, Angus Brayshaw 4, Taj Woewodin 1, Trent Rivers 1

So that means 3 specialist small forwards under 183cm.  We could play an extra tall, say Schache or JVR, in place of one of them but that would be in addition to Brown, TMac and Gawn/Grundy in the forward line.  I'm pretty confident you'd be complaining that is too top-heavy.

FWIW, I think it will be a very good win if we can beat the Dogs (who are really only missing Gardiner and Weightman) without May, Fritsch, Viney and Salem.

Our premiership forward line was Tmac, Brown, Fritsch, Gawn/Jackson. Not top heavy at all to add another tall in the mix tomorrow night. Obviously isn’t happening but our forward line functions best when it’s two talls + Fritta.

Never noticed before - he's got a strange set shot kicking action.  Really stools down a bit before the ball drop.  Not a criticism as he seems to slot it through the middle well enough, so whatever works for him.  Just looks a bit weird.

Has been the same action his whole career and even in his 18’s draft year he was exactly the same.  Has always been an extremely accurate kick,

McVee was very good, as were Bowey, Rivers and Hibberd .

    Someones gonna miss out.

Rapt with Kozzie in the midfield and Hunter really adds something.

Think Hibbo edges McVee as good as he was. Hibbo has a ‘better’ chance of locking down Weightman than McVee in a debut in Round 1. Will back the coaches like always though.

I've watched a lot of the training at Gosch's and really thought today wasn't as physical as many of the earlier sessions.  But it seems others disagree and I'm happy to get a different view.  But to those who have posted it was physical how do you rate it with previous sessions?

Thought there were some absolutely huge knocks and smashes in todays session. Did you miss those collisions ? 😂

In the manner of @Demonstone's demonstrative quizzes here is one for the trackwatchers:

What in the Hell are these markings on the ground?

They are placed just outside the goal square and are permanently marked.  They run diagonally toward one wing only and are

enclosed within a box.  There are also two diagonal lines on both sides from mid goal-square to the 50m line.  Same at the other end of the ground.

They weren't used as part of the "snapping" exercise run by Choco before the main session, so what are they?

Unfortunately we are not the only sporting code/team that trains on Goschs.
