How are TMac and BBB going?

Tmac didn’t play (sprained ankle) and thought it was big Ben’s best game since return. Kicked 3, could’ve had 5. Gave off another couple also. Think he’ll be back in the team sooner rather than later.

How is Jed Addams going lots of touches???

Best game he's played in my opinion. Looked like he had lots of confidence in the first half. Quieter in the second half but promising signs considering how far back he’s coming from.

What would you like me to grip?

Your head. If you’ve watched any Casey this year (evidently not) you’d know these two guys have shown more than most young kids do early. Guess you’re one of those blokes who like to make a criticism no matter what though, hey?!

Mitch White gives it straight to Suns again. 4 times in a row. What is going on with him?

If they lose this, which is looking likely, they can blame their disposal and kicking for goal. It has been pathetic.

The commentator just said his turnover inside 50 was his first mistake today. He’s had 17 touches and I’m almost certain 16 have been terrible.

Very hard to support this.  In the two games we lost we were without Max and either May/Lever and a wonderful new kid in McVee learning the ropes.

Our lowest score has been 93 pts and our winning margins:

    • 50pts (WBD scored 65 pts),
    • 50 points (Syd scored 84 pts),
    • 63 points (WCE scored 63 pts),
    • 18 pts (Tigers scored 78pts) and
    • 90 pts (North scored 49 pts)

Even in our two losses the ops score have been 2 and 4.5 goals.

That doesn't look like a porous defence to me.

Still think we work and our defence works better with the Petty/Lever/May trio. Also because I don’t think Petty is a forward at all.

For someone who is apparently struggling with something, Chandler is playing bloody sensational football. Same goes for Fritta.

JVR on light duties not a surprise. Wondering if he’s going to get a rest this week. He won’t make it to September without proper breaks.

Yep. Him and McVee could do with a rest within the next two weeks.

Does he have a nickname?  If not, I'll nominate "Love" 😁

(I hope I don't have to explain why)

Anyway, his second efforts and doing the little things when he doesn't have the ball is what I'll be most interested to see tomorrow night.

On the few occasions I've watched him at Casey, those were definite areas for improvement.

Diesel is his nickname at the Dees.

I recall we gave the two ex bulldogs different contracts.  Hunter got 2 years but Schache only 1.

So this is it . Couldnt have been given a better game for his debut although Hawks and Eagles just raised their hands and said Hold my beer!_

Hunter wasn’t given a contract by us, it was his original contract he signed at the Bulldogs that had 2 years to run that they’re paying a large portion of over the duration that he’s on.

Schache is also signed on for 2 years.

The term for this week's prepping (according to Brenton Sanderson) is 'Active Rest' apparently.

So hyberbaric chamber for those with corkies / bruised up pretty bad, ice baths, physio, massages, down the coast for a dip for some etc.

The idea is to stay moving or rehabing without much emphasis on big sessions on the training track.  While you obviously have to put a session into the mix (a la this morning) that session is very targeted towards selective players and most likely tightly controlled / governed by the HP team in conjunction with the player/s of course.  Probably light on with the contact drills as well.

The above is what i picked up from Sanderson ...obviously every club/team/HP team does things slightly differently.

Yep. Understand that, was always going to be a light week in the track of a stupidly short break, but just the fact it’s not the first time Fritta in particular has been doing individual stuff on a few occasions recently, think it would suggest he’s carrying somewhat of a niggle. Hopefully his foot isn’t still the causing a few problems because they can hang around.

Can back up what a few have said. Kozzy and his management as well as the club are almost in the position of dotting the i’s and crossing the t’s. It’s as close as it’s ever been. Would imagine in the next couple of weeks at some point it will be announced. Brilliant news!

Although from a personal stand point, I hope they hold the announcement off until the week of Round 10 when we play Port on the Friday night😂

Does Gawn plays if Shack has been held back?

Shack could be standby for both Max and Lever. If Max doesn’t play, Schache is the second ruck, and if Lever doesn’t, Petty stays back (rather than forward like he trained today) and Schache sits forward.

T Mac has runs on the board. Schache has 7 seasons of not performing at AFL level

Tmac has been average since about Round 12, 2021. Schache may not be the answer but he’s banging down the door, and with Tmac showing almost nothing. If you’re going to bring up the Eagles game, look who he was playing against.
