Something interesting to note. Rivers post-game said the senior players were helping the kids defend. Then this from May:
Maybe, finally, some proper leadership?
Excellent point - May's leadership and his driving of standards are a huge asset. He's having a colossal impact this year.

What they are saying now:
- The umpires were paid to give an armchair ride - what happened in the second half?
- That guy who lifts his leg shoulda got a 100m penalty when that other guy lifted his leg
- I dont understand. What happened?
- That was BS, we should have got a 6 again in the last few minutes.
Well played, love it!

Well done Spargo.

How is that not holding the man on Baker? Oh that's right, we're playing the AFL project team.

You could breathe on Fritsch and he'd lose his footing.

Commentators saying the lifted elbow was accidental. Is this a joke.
Towing the AFL line. It's like [censored] north Korea.

He plays like a millionaire. Doesn’t do the basics anymore which is what he did so well in his debut season. Has put his feet up after signing a contract.
We need to sign players up on shorter deals and keep them driven to excel.

Baker. Great snap.
Loved how he took a split second to balance when taking the kick, great composure.

Mumford has to get weeks for something tonight. Just whacks gawn in back of head nowhere near the ball. Coward.

James Brayshaw talking about how Mumford likes to 'target midfielders', as if he was praising him for the dog act.
Poor form.
Typical boganism from that dead-set drongo.

Oliver won't return.
If so Mumford should be due adecent holiday if ANB's 4wk tackle penalty is any kind of yardstick.

No free to Greene. We got the free and Gawn turned it over immediately.
Ah sorry my bad. Ok. That makes more sense

So that mumford thuggish cnut takes Carrie's head off and the corrupt maggot umpire plucks a free from between his stinkcheeks to Greene? WTF?

What would a 'true Dee' do that is different from a 'non(?) Dee'?
TIA
Nailed it. All I can think of is making poor decisions due to lowered objectivity, biases, being prone to nepotism, etc.
It's like saying BHP would be better off only employing execs from within the company vs globally.

If Jack Viney plays in a Jeelong Humper next year, i may have to give up this entire game
To see him play with those arrogant [censored] will make me physically ill every time they are on my TV
I really hate Jeelong
He may start kicking it to our jumpers though?

We have to give something up to get something back. There is a bit to like about extra midfield minutes that a JV move would buy Brayshaw, and that would have quite some upside. We've seen how quickly players can drop off - esp. those who've had foot injuries, etc. (E.g. TMac) - and I daresay we've seen Jack's ceiling. If I had to choose one of our mids out of Viney, Oliver, Brayshaw or Trac to let go, I'd have to say Viney.

The MFC tease continues.
How will it end ?
Surely the money has to be a dead-eye 55m Daniher bomb after the siren relegating us to 9th after we knock GWS off by 15 goals Sat night.

Just watching the Eagles win with half their team out. They win every season and rarely miss finals., They win flags.
What does that club do so differently to us? We need to study clubs like that and work out why we continually fail.
Being from a one-team city in an Aussie Rules-mad state with world class facilities, huge membership numbers, and the commensurate sponsorship dollars that would attract might have something to do with it. We are a homeless amateur rabble compared to the top clubs.
