I’m a bit confused. Don’t the new draft rules still mean we would have access to Mac Andrew just means we won’t get the discount that we would have got had he been in last years draft? I prob wrong but I thought that’s how it worked

Wasn’t able to watch the game live so watched the replay yesterday. Very different beast watching it without all the emotion of watching it live. I had already read a lot of the post about weeds so kept a close eye on his game. He had an almost game for me. Jumped for lots of marks but they didn’t quiet stick. I still think if he’s given games it will click for him in the coming weeks. I think he needs to be man managed a bit, some of his defensive efforts were very lacklustre and maybe needs a kick up the [censored] for that. Also needs to develop a better understanding with our other forwards as they seemed to be going for same ball a fair bit and blocking each other. I still think he can be a big player for us this season. Langdon out is a big loss. Super consistent for us this year and we might be best to rotate a few players on the wing. If we bring in a small defender then Rivers could spend some time there, so can Tmac when max hoes forward.

We played poor and that made it much closer in last few mins than it had to be. I don’t normally like to put blame umps but Jesus Christ they really need to have a long hard look at their performance in the last 2 mins. Muck pure muck

Top 2 has to be the aim but given the teams that are likely to be in the top 4 there’s a reasonable chance any top 4 finish us provide us with our first final at the G. Top 2 does mean we are not as concerned with where other clubs finish though.

That’s a big shame, Max’s form has been down the past couple of weeks and now he’s without his apprentice.

I’m more stressed after that first quarter than I have been for past few weeks. Enough swearing and shouting to send the dog retreating to the bedroom. ?

We’re really do find ourselves in a great position. 6&0 playing some great footy and with a full healthy list to pick from. If we can keep a healthy list and play like we did last night we are going to be a big threat come the end of the year. I’d start to look at managing players game time over the coming weeks. We won last week without our best performing forward and back. I don’t mean mass changes just a couple each week to reward players playing well at Casey and keep everybody fresh and get valuable time into players not in the team yet. Four games coming that we should be favourites in followed by 3 more difficult games before the bye. I’d let Burgess and fitness team have a big say on ins and outs over the coming weeks.

Game will be played in Hobart folks unless this outbreak really starts spreading. Checked the tas-gov covid site and it’s only from certain hotspots not all of Perth. Friends have a Perth friend arrive today and did not need to isolate.

I hear what your saying but if there’s a player that we really rate and we have to trade up to be sure of getting him I don’t mind it. Mahoney has said we would look at trading up. I’d also be surprised if JT doesn’t pulled some rabbit out of the hat that nobody is expecting with one of our later pick. Agree that trading on the night probably makes more sense. No point in trading up before draft night if the player we want is already gone.

If he gets past Essendon and Adelaide I wonder would we pull the trigger on a trade with North? Thoughts ?

@Gawndog98i see in your latest draft you have the Gold Coast passing on their second round pick ( currently pick 27) due to their free pick ups. Just seems a waste surely they will swap it out somehow. I see Cal Twomey has GWS as a possibility to taking Hawks academy player Downie at pick 20. What’s your thoughts on a 3 way trade involving our pick 19 going out along with pick 50, we get 24&27 and GC get hawks future 3rd? ( Hawks have already traded out their future 4th so I’m not sure if they are allowed to trade another future)
