  1. Lumumba has said that he didn't stand up for himself back in those days as he wanted to be accepted. Without further context all this does is prove further that it happened and make it even more dubious that senior figures, including coaches, continue to deny they ever knew about it. This is more sad than it is controversial, although obviously that will vary depending on which lens you choose to view it through.
  2. So you don't believe the numerous people who have backed Lumumba's version of events but you then choose to believe one single person who wasn't even there for most of it... Confirmation bias perhaps?
  3. Here's the 'record'...
  4. So, are they "sheltered" or are they victims of "public scrutiny"? ?
  5. My personal favourite is the 'youngest and least experienced' line that gets trotted out perennially.
  6. Someone mentioned there was a family situation he needed to be there for. It obviously would be something important for him to head over there. I'd suggest the 'poor form' is criticising the young man without knowing the circumstances.
  7. Kozzy is in SA atm isn't he? Or did he get back in time for this?
  8. Unconvincing isn't it?!
  9. Brilliant, thanks heaps mate! May I ask, were any of the coaches addressing this stuff? As in, did they stop play, pull players up etc to try and fix these things? Been the same problems for so long now and it makes me wonder how they've been actually working on correcting it. Cheers!
  10. It begins.... #SackBurgo ?‍♂️
  11. Rupert beat us to it....
  12. “Following scans on Monday afternoon, it has been decided that we will get the opinion of knee specialist Julian Feller to determine the best course of action,” General Manager of AFL Football Performance Alan Richardson told Melbourne Media. “The club will be in a position to provide further information following Ben’s consultation on Wednesday.” Club Statement
  13. Don't reckon it's time to panic just yet... Wait til Thursday.
  14. And you'd be surprised by that?
  15. Can't remember exact details, but PJ has been working on a racism/cultural report for the AFL for a while too.
  16. Totals is never a great way to work it out. If you go by averages then it's: Clangers 6. Oliver 17. Petracca 20. Viney Ahead of Oliver are Yeo, Cotchin, O'Meara, Dusty and Brad Crouch, so perhaps it's not a great singular stat to judge players by. Turnovers 2. Viney 3. Petracca Equal 17th. Oliver Above Oliver are players like Prestia, Sicily, Treloar, Shiels, Tim Kelly, Crouch, O'Meara, Gaff, Martin & Cotchin. I'd say Prestia, Martin & Cotchin is a midfield that has had some success. Now I agree our skill level and decision making needs to improve, but I don't think judging inside mids by these selective stats is very fair, and while it's 100% an issue, it might be a bit broader than those 3 players, especially given their roles. Our forward 50 delivery has clearly been our biggest issue for a few years, and while Viney & Oliver would feature in that, let's also add that players like Melksham, Langdon, Brayshaw and Fritsch, all players who are often delivering inside 50 after receiving from the inside mids, all feature high up on the stats you have brought up also. Also worth mentioning that vandenBerg has an average of 1 clanger per 4 disposals. Viney's average is 1 in 6.
  17. You just won Right Wing Nut Job Buzz Word Bingo!
  18. Has officially retired.
  19. Racist against whom? Based on what factual evidence exactly? The person of which you speak is a Distinguished Professor with an OA and a FASSA. This means they are exceptionally versed in evidenced-based reasoning. So what is yours?
  20. Missed a few minutes of the presser while on a phone call, but from what I heard there wasn't any kind of apology to the people who have suffered due to the systemic racism the report is about. Wasn't part of the report about how Collingwood doesn't own up to things and tries to spin them in the media? Clearly, they still have learned nothing.
  21. This is absolute rubbish. The person facilitating the report is exceptionally qualified to do so. Pathetic comment.
