Had the pleasure of meeting plenty of interstate people yesterday - great to extend on the Demon Family. Words can't describe it. Pretty bloody horse today. I had a laugh when Bayley Fritsch kicks from the back flank up to Petracca on the wing ! A classic case of how we owned the game and trying to counter anything we did was futile. There was some great defence viewing when were kicking to the opposite end - extraordinary. GO DEES

Jim saw something in this Max kid - a massive influence. Between Max and Jones we have the been able to thread the ties that hold all these young players together. I really feel like the things that happened on that day back in 1987 started a ripple that has taken this long to reach the shore as a swell. Honestly I don't think there should be a problem getting a ticket for the prelim because we can buy x8 each and they wont all go . For the GF we don't know how many tickets per 'code' we are going to get. To be honest I feel like it will be 1 per code - hopefully I'm wrong. The club had re-opened up the membership sales ( post deadline ) last week and sold however many to 'whoever'. Don't know what allocation we will get verses corporate etc. The clubs here had an allocation to sell their members also ; mostly packages. I will be asking some questions about this and also in regards to sharing codes from over East before the GF.

Funnily enough when you wear your demon gear on the train etc it attracts anyone that doesn't like West Coast to come up and tell you how much they hate them..... Or anyone that goes for Tigers,Blues,Pies etc just come up and start talking to you. Its a weird effect.

Hey L-M-C Would have to try the Ticketek sale on Monday first for prelim ( check their site etc ). Then try via Western Demons website and we might be able to offer a ticket if no luck getting one. Best advice is try via Ticketek first ( We're in the same boat here.. ) - Do what we can. Ultimately though being a member is the best insurance you can get. For the GF we don't even have any real guarantees ( unless you purchase the guarantee upgrade ) .

Thanks for the great feedback Damo. Can't emphasis enough how we feel for all the Dees supporters. Have to do what we can to get the voice out. It's really hard to compare how someone may support their footy team - we all do it in a different way. The one common heart felt thread is the long journey that we all have been on. The club has transcended into something special and that the road for all has been long. Regardless of how we go - we all know that there is some good years of football ahead of us and that we are so proud of these boys that have stuck together. ** Savour the moment and may we be delivered what we deserve **

Naming just a few ( Jurrah - Davey - Farmer - Jetta - Garlett - Picket & of course the KOZ ) So many highlights - big thanks - just wouldn't be the Dees without these greats in our midst. )

I have seen and been to pre game events on both sides of the country and we really are passionate over here. We try to look after the supporters that just want to get together.

Just dropping back in to let all Demon supporters know that in the WEST we have ALL supporters close to our hearts as we host the Dees here to hopefully win the flag. I'm a very active member of the Western Demon Supporter group for around 10yrs. I have been more passionate about the Dees since leaving VIC around 25yrs ago. There are some real die hard supporters here and we will do everything within our power to make our Demon voice heard from the West to the East. This is for all the supporters, now and from the past, for the thousands of Demon tales that can be told, for the those that paved the way for the greatest club that has ever existed - we are with you. Go Dees - Take what is yours.

Two main points in game style change that made huge difference in my opinion ; with room to improve : 1 - Breaking out from the packs and DELIVERING effective KICKS - Less blind kicks to opposition. Top work Clarry, good deliveries from Viney, Brayshaw & Petracca. ( Improvement : There were still a lot of bad deliveries resulting in turn overs.....a repeating theme. ) 2 - Low , hard and fast deliveries to leading players. ( ie _ best kick all night Petracca to Fritsch. ) These deliveries have been missing this season and this game showed that we can do it. Still a way to go. The only way to improve from here is to cement in some regulars up forward. There is no better forward style than a hard push offs, fast pace leads and accurate deliveries.

Second that Margetts is biased. Hear about it every game he umpires in the West for Weagles. It really is the elephant in the room : AFL has no accountability.

First thing after losing a game you have to look at is your missed opportunities _ like not finishing set shots. Melbourne lost their own game. Damn shame because I thought their defensive effort was fantastic considering the makeshift backline. Second thing is the umpiring _ for this Eagles crowd the hometown advantage kicks in. Were some bloody shockers by the umpires. Amongst the worst was the Kennedy flight ( into Max's back I think ) without getting to the ball : no free. Then going forward to take another mark and goal. There was the Tim Smith incident = joke. The Max incident could have been a reversal. There were frees paid against Melbourne for holding when there was no prior ( the stupid Weagles crowd crying BALL every bloody time the opposition gets tackled with the ball. F#@*'n mental. ) There was about three marks that were not paid. It goes on and on. I can't hack the umpiring over here - Dean Margetts has to go. He has Blue and Yellow glasses on. It's a joke. Was at the game just around from the points - Nathan Jones did make the trip in to have a go at Vardy. Unfortunately nowadays the first priority is for players to worry about their next move and not get caught up in a rabble; esp now with the 666 reset. Loose heads lose games. I did think at the time there could have been a more passionate response overall _ I felt like jumping out of my seat and running down there myself. Marty
