Great observation DL snd I just reckon that no Matter how slight/big he is he will still clunk from Day 1. It's in his DNA and maybe get a go earlier than is expected depending upon injuries and form. Howes exciting it would be to have JVR and MJ on the forward line one day vs Kangas ? Yes it's MJ on the right and I reckon Kye Turner to the left. Tough gig when you have to out mark Maxy in your first few training practice dates. Why isn't Brodie and say Tmac challenging the Skip and Champ.? Ome comment I will make is that MJ is never going to die wondering in a marking comp. As we saw in his highlights he an come from a few deep snd grab a screamer! I reckon he should concentrate on being in front of the pack but maybe he also can come in from the side. All I know is that he can mark snd that will get him a long way if he can clunk a few with superior judgement. No so while we have our 2 location training bases all is not lost. The players are not dramatically or physically underprivileged with either facility. If there was a simple answer to the problem of land availability NOW don't you think the Club would have sourced it? We are unique in that for over 150 years the very MCG that enabled us to have a great advantage in our match and other facilities is the same facility that we wish to stand nearby and grief is caused by the land availability issue. Perhaps we should have never sold Bentleigh Club and ( if it was big enough I don't know I never visited there ) that msy be a poor decision which has come back to bite us. Some D/L ers have no idea of how hard the land issue is to solve and it sickens me how casual they voice their opinion almost weekly on this topic. It's a far worse situation if you were Essendon snd had over 6,500 days since their last Finals win, in fact 19 years and counting. We may well have a base chosen or built before their date. It's a decision that can't be rushed and no amount of Board bashing or finger pointing will magically move the progress of this facility. I suggest that some of the more dramatic D/Lers antagonists who are upset with the lack of progress form a group and start being more active and positive on this huge project that seems to have stalled in the State Govt and other stakeholders hands.

While I don't agree with a couple of your major statements re Round1 what it says is that we are handling ( as 12345 etc said) Jed (Adams) and Will (Verrall)'very carefully to ensure when they fully recover from their injuries from this season then they both will train as good as possible towards the season opening. Lets Hope Howes and Laurie both get an injury free run pre season. Encouraging reports on Schache Brodee and Lachie H plus JVR who with good pre seasons are virtually 4 fresh recruits and with fully fit and sharp Jakie Salo Gawny Tmac and Rivers maybe last half fade outs will be consigned to 2022 history.

D/L provides all of us with a rare chance of learning information but also providing it. However any one who seeks advice should have basic skills of reading the English language snd of eliciting a reply to a question. Not correct. The Board have the majority the of their 4 year Plan succeed including the three Flags, sustained success in all three grades plus membership and corporate records and IMO a very high nearly 30% Junior Membership of the total building for the future. As well as substantial improvement to Casey Fields amenities plus the surface of the oval. Goschs also improved so substantial Govt assistance has been obtained. If Casey was in the 15km circle from MCG it would probably be the Training Ground for good with Admin etc being added and a venue for the AFLW and VFL with a capacity of say 8/10,000 bring formulated. We have never been so well off financially in 164 years and hav come from a basket case a decade ago. Facilities haven't hampered us snd success on the ground is far more important than the MCG location to be chosen ASAP. Before you query the timing of the Plan the record speaks for itself and Roffey is the chosen Board Supremo expected to deliver. Give me a decade of sustained success including multiple Flags in AFL and AFLW snd the Training facility will take care of itself I believe.

There are 5 games that are money earners plus Lions and early in season Swans should be good also 40,000 plus. Others should be 60,000 to 75,000 vs Pies Blues and Tigers. Remember we still make $500/750,000 (not sure) for NT Alice vs GWS game.

Really Pulp I have never heard of any Dees fan so upset they are not scheduled to play the Bombers in Victoria in any season before in the AFL. I am not exaggerating but Bombers fans ( not necessarily saying your friends are similar) are about on a par with Pies as the most unpleasant and foul mouthed and arrogant in the AFL. I think your only move is if you can't do without your Bomber Fix is for you indeed to all go to Gather Round together to SA snd make a full long weekend of it. But MFC are catering for local Casey fans primarily because we play at CFields.school is closed at 3 pm or after. Hardly any one really is going to go from Braybrook say to Casey to see the Cup. You can if you want to of course but it's not the target fan that is being catered for at Bunjil.

Your second question IMO is now irrelevant as we selected Jed Adams at 38. If we/he had any doubts about WA recruits that decision is obviously NO. Didn't we as a Club also sort of push Jesse out by agreeing to him going in a way that we were fed up with the conjecture and uncertainty when he was playing along with injuries etc. ? Both times we have traded brilliantly with replacements with Steven May and now Brodie Grundy. Still have the Ist snd 2nd rounders for next year.

I must admit I have looked at the highlights of Jeffer snd believe he looked as if he can get kicks in different forward positions snd Hope by they time our forward game plan is much more organised. Sorry Birrarung Mar is nothing to do with Bunjil Place in the City of Casey as far as I know! The event lasts for say 90 min or 2 hours (I imagine )you don't have to be there at 4pm pronto. You get in line to have your photo taken with the Cup. ( Didn't you get your photo with the AFL Men's Cup in 2021 at the Museum at the MCG. ?)

It's now not the primary reason THBT. You have missed the philosophical financial and cultural reasons for this much loved game and FTA status pi's a home game replacement for us members. Look at the support after last years game snd the kids meeting their heroes and this is growing as the Club keeps on winning also. It's a win win win game for all so let it survive the churliness and misunderstanding about this fixture you have surmounted.

Jeffer has already gone from 76 to 84 kg now and is 195/6 cm. May be Behind Cadman now but I don't think there will be much between the two when both are another pre season. Both have enough natural ability to develop and use their skills early in their careers and Jeffer will be playing with some classy other forwards snd Cad's mates at Notth aren't too shabby. MJ should get more opportunities when he breaks into the AFL team due to our superior mids and team stats. Meanwhile this MJ hype is allowing JVR to start to build up nicely and quietly without any pressure yet. L
