  1. Thanks OD that is a great insight to the BBB possible recovery time. Obviously it will be revealed in the next 6/8 weeks when recovery is commenced. And the Club as you state are looking cautiously ( as they bloody well should with such a potentially gold forward option in our plans not just for 2021 but the next half decade all of which I believe is our window of opportunity for ultimate success. Also Ben's ability to adapt to the recovery has been crucially states in all discussions. We might just have to wait for Anzac Eve to release him hopefully in full flight against the Hardwick trio Still taking a few small Steps on their complicated new stage.
  2. I think that's what Goody would want Is to have all available after a rehab Slightly below par style pre season. I can see some real problems unless all really step up from now on and take part in most match drills and simulation matches plus the two official practice matches. I would be happy if Viney ( or Angus but not both) Hibbo and Kossie were selected and couple of newer Demons like Sparrow or Jordan plus one of ( if form permits) Bowey Or Laurie and The well deserved ( so far) Rosman named on the wing after a good campaign since Day1. That puts pressure on all players While fitness can be managed and team needs fior the now and future are clearly defined. 2018 is three years ago and clearly we will stagnate without change in our ranks if that seasons heroes are automatically retained in the best 22 when clearly about 4/5 have not improved or even maintained their form or vigour while in the ones. Perhaps since Choco ( Allegedly for a showtime simulation I assume ) burned the youngsters birth certificates he could tear up the medical ok's for all five Of this rehab group so a balanced team with form snd fitness are released to storm the G and conquer Freo on March 21st.
  3. By 2025 our mids now will be fully able to be judged on their deeds and form from now on (Jonesy has advantage and only wins through a decade or more of consistently good footy mostly in a poor side). Give Trac Clarry Jack and Gus need to pull out the big ones and achieve greatness for the Club including that 13th flag and more if possible. We will know damn well who our best mid this century is by 2025 as all would have had a decade service! Now we can only look at the past and sort of hope and predict the future!
  4. Trac is changing that very quickly. He is something Very special and hardly has a weakness at all. His set close goalkicking Maybe but it's improved and from 50m out he is top draw. Plus he is a team man and will unite this midfield with Ooze to Make it in the top 5 in the AFL. All our mids can improve and also the youngsters can have an effect as well with pressure on and off the field.
  5. Let's await any Club info and not overreact to a one line report as an add on to another news item in the news media.
  6. DS the topic is Our best midfielder of the 21st century. Most posts have sat on the fence but Jones on balance is 1 with Oliver 2 and Petracca 3. Within 2 Years ( and hopefully Clarry and Trac And Angus have winning finals and a flag on their CV ) that would change it to 1 Trac probably and 2. Clarry then Jonesy 3.
  7. Most of the good ones (small forwards) have their craft already when they are drafted and need extra things like fitness team game plan and tweaking of Their ability to finish as A complete product. Bowey and Laurie are natural footballers with the skills to crumb run carry and score plus dispose properly. Kossie has many traits but needs work on a number of levels but is a good way along the path to become a very good AFL player.Spargo is building his game and physique to add to his footy smarts and Game craft. ANB is not a small forward nor is Melsham BTW.
  8. The injury is about 1/2 weeks old and 6/7 weeks will make it about early April and 8 weeks as in the HS article on Majak Daw. It was advised running is expected to commence about halfway through.Ie 4 weeks. When BB was injured and operated on. Where does it say anywhere or refer to any alteration of running commencement or any extra surgery ? BUT somehow 2 D/L ers are all in a tizz about his expected 8 weeks out.with 2 drama queen negative comments and ideas that there are changes with BB's injury schedule. I refer to Bris De and Dcutter!. We are always upset by injuries but it does not help with wild off the cuff posts Which are not even mentioned and lead to further negativity for others to Have to Read. If there is any change the Club would be all over it and the HS accordingly informed as would our website!!
  9. TBH Majak is a bit of a tease. Really needs a ticket under him with greater urgency if he is to succeed.
  10. Biff that was a typo error. I am a great Salem fan and reckon he may get to an A grade if he continues going on from late games last year with his impact and pressure.
  11. If Clint Biscuit can overcome issues of delistment from Geelong and survive then Majak May be motivated to overcome his.
  12. Ultimately the no of games and goals will decide Salem's fate in 2021 or later.
  13. Really the memory does tricks !! You are virtually saying that Rigoni is our Second best midfielder Of this century !! Really ??? A three match finals block plus solid form during the season for one year!!!! Better player they year than Woe??
  14. Yes the numbers run out of time or get second chances at other Clubs and Sam Is getting to that stage. Would like to see this year Sam have a solid run at it especially with BBB and Some other forward options Creating a potential mix Needing some defensive depth to contain.
  15. Nevertheless you could have actually crunched your point with the stats on injury games missed. Nothing like a fact or two to back up your opinion !!!
  16. Sorry Mach5 it's Big Red That should be relistening.!!!
  17. Mach 5 you didn't catch what JT said re Laurie and Bowey. Better listen again then!
  18. Congratulations to Mick and the girls! Magnificent win in a " Final in February" clash also without the Casey Doctor that visits every fortnight when we play there. (In other words any real home advantage was minimised by the perfect weather and ground conditions at Casey Fields.) Simple put games on Successive weekends and that confuses the wind Doctor!!! Seriously on a lockdown ( sorry again Melburnians ) sat night what a blockbuster to watch after 2 very scrappy but competitive clashes in Sydney ( rain affected to be fair) and at Moorabbin our nearest neighbouring ground. The standard surpassed all matches (since the finals last year ) And was one if the Top5 games of AWLW held in the 4 and bit years of that Comp. And was on Free to Air TV plus Social Media was awash with compliments about the AFLW standard rising from the So called Ashes. Even D/L Was full of excited posts from cigar smoking whisky sipping couch potatoes revelling in our new found heroes playing footy as it should be played. Fast furious and connecting leading to goals!!! More Goals also in the response plus the Titanic last quarter ( championship quarter no less) and Featuring the defensive skills Of each team As they parried and contested till the siren with the Dees showing their mettle to join the Big 5/6/7 fighting for this years flag. And the realisation of the Melbourne AFLW strategy of recruiting youth to add to our older heroes,( also discarding or losing some previous ones) that is bearing immediate results just as much as a challenging running handball and outside game that opens up previous lack of scoring options for our new found smart and clever Forwards. This win is one that you can build a season around with self belief and confidence that you are on the right track and ready to embrace the future challenges no matter what Covid or the Other AFLW provide. Maybe even kick start belief throughout the Club that if their AFL counterparts can compose a similar run and carry Game Plan With similar commitment and input a season of some magnitude can be replicated.
  19. Forgot Lions who are in double digit millions debt. Have been since late '2000'S really. AFL are subsidising them each year also. Has improved a bit now that they are in the top 4 Clubs!
  20. Wonderful win A great team effort Girls.& Men could well look at that game plan and how the ball is moved.
  21. That's what they have been recruited for CP.. And then Ist rounders to get the best 2 picks of the smalls , Refer to JT on the behind the draft Best decision makers best kicks and just love the game both.!! Reckon Charlie Spargo is the other small who is training well and has muscles up and getting involved . What was a weakness now will be a strength.
