There's enough empty seats in the N53 section on level 2 of the Olympic Stand right now that a few of us that have dispersed reserved seats can sit together which is great. Queues for beers and the loos are short and getting in and out of the ground takes 5 minutes. It's not all bad having a flakey supporter base.
  2. Just on my first coffee of the morning and was about to post what I thought about yesterday but you've done that for me Titan. We also had three posters in that last quarter as well as Nibbler pooping the bed when he should have just kicked for goal. I forget who it was but we also should have centred the ball to an unmarked Weeds in front of goal instead of kicking to a marked Browny in the pocket. I'm confident we'll reverse that result when we play them in Perth in a few weeks. We really do need to stop acting like millionaires when kicking for goal though.
  3. Someone at Jolimont station said that Trac was throwing up in the last quarter and it looked like Vines had a shoulder problem.
  4. The better we get the more sparse the crowd is. Weird.
  5. Love it. Suck on that Richmond. Was that a 50m if he kicked it into row Z after the siren?
  6. I think we've gone a bit early on opening our Grand Final day thread. Oops, sorry... just noticed it's the 2022 one. My bad. Please continue.
  7. Not as confident now that T-Mac will miss. Freo are no mugs and we will have to be at our best.

Essendon are the only other team that meet the first criteria but even they are not daft enough to think they're in a premiership window. Despite what Mick Malthouse might think.

Saints are like flies on [censored] when it comes to other clubs' flotsam & jetsam. They're also deluded enough to think they could snag a flag in the next two years whilst we're on the scene. My money is on them.
  10. An AFL team in the NT would be like the NFL giving a franchise to North Dakota. It probably makes more sense to keep the GCS playing a couple of home games in Darwin plus one in Cairns. They could merge with North Melbourne to form the North Queensland Roos, or NQR's for short. NQR supermarkets could sponsor them.
  11. The Chinese Whispers?
  12. Build the new stadium and training facility at the port and let China pay for it as part of their 99 year lease.
  13. Joel Garner might be worth a look if only for the locker room cricket games some of the boys play.

    yeah nah.
  15. I'm intrigued as to whether they go with the Hawthorn blueprint to lose to us by 2 goals or the North Melbourne blueprint to lose by 8 goals and whether we attempt to combat this by doing exactly what we've done for the last 10 weeks.
  16. With Geelong still being in their alternative universe premiership window they'd be mad not to offer Mundy a 3 year deal at the end of the season.
  17. Geez. If we can get up next week Freo could fall as low as 8th.
  18. Collingwood look the goods today. Let's hope the heavens open and the last quarter turns into a really heavy slog.
  19. Over to you Collingwood.......
  20. Hawks making Brisbane look very koschitzke.
  21. Damn. Just when I was enjoying Hawthorn beating Brisbane they show Jeff Kennet in the crowd.
  22. Is that Hugo Weaving in the coaches box with Sam Mitchell?
  23. What’s going on right now is a bit like the vaccinations we’ve all been getting lately. A little sample of the latest variant to try and beat us from a side that’s not very good will immunise us if the better teams try it. We could just refer to them as the Alpha (Hawthorn) and Delta (North) blueprints.
  24. Our only real risk of losing a game right now is if we kick this inaccurately against a much higher quality side.
  25. Right now our best set shot kick in the midfield group is probably Jack Viney. Who would have thought.
