  1. Probably the most frustrating and aggravating 50 point win I've ever watched. Adelaide are a truly horrible football team right now, they just cannot kick a score. Main Dees takeaways for me: -Steven May another fantastic game. Made Tex look like a local reserves player. -Clayton Oliver escaping the packs and thinking a little more with the ball was fantastic. -Brayshaw should only ever play on ball. This makes it hard to balance the midfield but that's what the coaches are paid the big bucks for. -Jackson was clearly worrying ROB with his jumping ability. Good positioning up forward too. -Neither Bennell or ANB impacted up forward. Small forward positions are still well up for grabs.
  2. Tex should've given away about 5 free tonight. Is hardly even going for the ball
  3. First play of the second half Brayshaw overruns the ball and Adelaide send it forward
  4. Eddie, Kingy and Derm whinging about taunting in the game, and they only show the Vanders example. Of course they don't talk about Max being targeted off the ball, including being repeatedly punched in the chest in the first quarter. Or maybe they could talk about McHenry going after May after the ball is gone. Biased umps and biased commentary.
  5. Umps have let Adelaide get away with this niggle all game. Just as they've let Max be tackled in the ruck and Taylor Walker has been allowed to shephard in the marking contest multiple times. Two free kicks for us that quarter is [censored] [censored]
  6. How I felt watching tonight's game
  7. Agree with the entire post, but this bit really sticks out for me. Did we have any tactics whatsoever in the first quarter? Didn't run from half back at all. Didn't use the corridor at all. The players looked completely content to just keep going down the line straight to the Port outnumber, even though they were putting goal after goal on the scoreboard. What had Goodwin and the other coaches actually worked on during the week?
  8. Hey we actually got some run of half back. What a crazy idea
  9. This is happening to us every week due to our tap dominance. Around the clearances the other clubs are just clinging on to our midfielders and then breaking into space when we turn it over. Need to change our system around the ball to find more seperation.
  10. Who gives a [censored] if it's a report Hamish. You've got the vision right in front of you to see that there was nothing in it. Move on you moron
  11. Port are consistently getting the ball out the front of the stoppage with forward handballs. St.Kilda completely stopped this last week by getting a winger off the back of the stoppage.
  12. Was it Fritsch who gave away a stupid 50 like that a couple of weeks ago? I know someone did
  13. What is wrong with that umpire seriously
  14. McCluggage killing us with his clean hands. Always hitting running players
  15. Goodwin said in his presser yesterday that the rest of the group would join next Friday.
  16. Surely we don't have the salary cap space for a player the calibre of Williams? In the last few years we've picked up Lever, May, Tomlinson and Langdon. Add that on top of the likes of Gawn, Oliver, TMac and Trac, and I'd imagine that our cap would be fairly full.
  17. 13 touches at 53% efficiency after 11 with 72% the week before. Four clangers in both games. His pressure is undoubtedly very good but for me his ball use has been lacking. I don't think he's been terrible but Jones and Tomlinson would both be gunning for his spot, and I think we need to always drive high standards.
  18. I think we'll know in 5 or 6 years time. I just think it's a big gamble that I'm not sure we needed to make. I'll be very happy to be proven wrong if Jackson reaches his undoubtedly high potential.
  19. Lockhart, Jackson, Brayshaw -> Rivers, TMac, Jones Jackson shows plenty of promise, but I still think that TMac currently offers more. Lockhart and Brayshaw have had two poor games in a row, and considering the fixture squeeze that's going to be coming up, I think it's important to keep players fresh. Vandenberg on notice, Tomlinson a possibility to replace.
  20. Both will be very good, but Pickett is a better fit for our team. Weightman plays very similarly to Hannan, while Pickett offers something different with his extra crumbing and pressure.
  21. In that scenario we would maintain picks 10 and 28. The only difference would be Jackson and the picks I listed.
  22. At least Breust isn't out there today. He hates us.
  23. Clarko giving us a hell of a lot more credit than the commentators. Looks shocked
