Changes v Hawthorn - Semi Final
Tx Binm an but I was being a little facetious. What about the really effective tackles? The ones we all love from Vanders that makes players get splinters from sitting on the bench for the rest of the game. Or that passage of play on the centre wing where he pushes through his own team members. They need a new stat for him along the lines of barges or ko's. Love this blokes intensity.

Yep. How do you measure sheer will, determination and physical presence. This guy can put opposition players out of the game by legitimate tackles.

Reliving Preliminary 1987
How good was our Captains mark and goal 3 minutes into the last? Champagne football.

Alex Neal-Bullen

I have a dilemma...
Keep the poo Gorogoth. I dug into the cupboard 4 weeks ago and put on me ol lucky scarf for the eagles game and have worn it ever since. Not a good look in the shower though.

Meanwhile . . . down at Glenferrie Road . . . .
This game worries me. Last time we kicked one goal for all of the last 3 quarters. We dominated the first only to be smashed. They seemed to just switch off. We seemed to have gelled since then but Hawks have several players capable of kicking a bag. Game will hopefully won in the centre with improved Gus and Wayne. Most interesting game. Kent kicked half our goals. I wish he were back.

Keep an eye out for Selwood's mojo.

He laid an awesome tackle on some big dude in our forward line that stopped him dead. Spargo definitely punches above his weight.

Changes v Hawthorn - Semi Final
The only change I would want is a goal sneak that can kick a bag. Part of me longs for the return of Jeff Garlett but his form this year except for the lions game has been way down. I recall him kicking 4 against Hawthorn 2 years ago and he has the ability to explode. Dom was very good prior to breaking his arm. Spargo although not a prolific possession player has been good with disposal and helped set up several goals. Unlike JG his chasing and pressure is his signature game. Alas JG hasnt had as much game time so all up I guess, no change for me. Perhaps Hannan will add 4. He has the ability and last week was his first back. Would like to see Vanders or Oliver in the goal square for a few minutes each quarter. Great to see Weid playing so well and congrats to Goody for persisting with him. He may not be playing if Hogan wasnt injured but all of his prior games haved helped his confidence. Some intense goal practice for Petracca is advised. Win or lose it is clear as day that this group of mostly young players is going to the top for quite a while. Go Dees.

The moment you know when you’re going to win
Noticed the arms locked and thought it was awesome. They looked like they believed in themselves. The cats not doing that although serious, it seemed like: just another game. I was nervous with the first 3 kicks going against us and the deja vu of inaccuracy. To be honest nervous all night given what Geelong did in the last 2 matches. When Hannan goaled I felt my sphincter finally relax. Now Im worried about the hawks. I hope we can sustain 4 quarters against them.

My 3 word player analysis V Geelong
Tx Macca. I only bearly remember Grinter. I was told he was really tough. I recall the crowd being excited. My dad would say its time to let him off his leach, so I assumed he wasnt a great talent. But I guess he wouldnt play if not. I do think Vanders is a talented player. He is our best 22 and I hope he avoids injury and we see what he can do with a lot more games under his belt. His strength is awesome and he doesnt seem to panic and although his disposal has been errant on occassion he always seems to get his hands on the pill. Wouldnt mind seeing him one on one on the goal square like dusty or danger now and then.

What they're saying down at Moorabool Street
Perhaps I have been too generous saying cats are a very good team. Above stat reveals what a massive home advantagethey have. Its huge. Take it away and I now wonder how they would fare. May explain their poor finals record.

Hannan's Goal Is Better With Titanic
Always the way. Glad those supporters behind the goal in the vid aren't in our team.
