TRAINING: Monday 19th August 2024
I know it but I donāt want to say it! Thanks for the tops post again This all of a sudden feels like 2020. I sent you a PM about ANB doing a junior ring around - thanks to his mum for raising a top quality man.

Jack Viney Extends Contract Until 2028
My 9yo has been a bit bereft with ANB leaving and the CP5 brouhaha. What number to put on his guernsey?! And Iāve been trying to decide on a number for my premiers Anzac guernsey. Number 7 it is!!!! (though I do like number 2 for Robbie)

GAMEDAY: Rd 23 vs Gold Coast
I was going to take my eldest 9yo to his first dees game and try and get a photo with Nibbler afterwards after he rang the eldest on a junior ring around. Unfortunately in Syd at brother in laws . was ambivalent about missing but woke up in northern rivers this morning to an absolutely cracking day, so now a bit cross weāre not going especially as it was the last chance to see Nibbler. go dees!

The Watch with Ben Gibson | Tom Morris
If true and if the story has come from his camp he may have scared Houston (and others?) off whatever your view of the Houston deal, itās a suboptimal way of taking care of the club paying you a lot of $$

Good luck i wrote a constructive but plaintiff letter after the finals - highlighting how we responded to Maynard - nothing. I know Iām not owed a response but Iāve emailed Gary Pert before (before the 21 GF and got an obviously personal response immediately). I suspect membership may plummet next year Peter Ryanās article today states she was bewildered at our position at the presidents lunch last week. Well. Arenāt we all!

Dan Houston
If itās his mandate I have some serious questions for the coach.

I feel like it would be a good move to not ready any football news or DL until round 1 . imagine the surprise at whoās playing!

When you knew 2024 was over?
Straight sets 2023 set off alarm bells. Losing Gus rang more alarm bells, the Sydney game was putrid Kings birthday though. Should have come out breathing fire but too interested in cuddling Maynard

Best Presser Ever!!
Itās imperative. We didnāt have it for a long while (1800km away, now an hour). It makes things very hard depending on your situation.

Farewell Alex Neal-Bullen
I will miss his gut running followed by his gaping mouth trying to get his air back. I loved that about him. He rang my son on a junior member ring around about a month ago, and he was so happy to tell Alex he was his favourite, behind Petracca š I had a quick word to him too and he didnāt rush me off the phone. That says a lot. One of our faves. Go well, Nibbler. Itās funny eh, I canāt think of a player except Howe whoās left us that I bore any ill will toward and no one exemplifies that more than ANB.

The way we went silent on the Maynard incident at very high levels was incredibly disappointing. From Gleesonās āIām concerned heāll miss finalsā comment, the victim blaming by Collingwood, allowing McGuireās comments to go unchallenged, the lack of public statement at the highest levels - big let down. someone made a comment earlier that theyād prefer the board/exec work behind the scenes - sure, but they can do both. Working behind the scenes isnāt helping the MFC achieve all that much the AFL not having counter experts (biomechanics, sports movement etc) to me displayed incredible ineptitude or a lack of desire to properly prosecute the case - either way our club should have been decrying that prosecution very clearly weāve been the good corporate citizen for a long period now - moments like that demand stronger action it has left a very bad taste in my mouth that episode
