To be honest I want geelong to finish 8th. I want to see the look on Scotts face when they go out first week of the finals.

There’s more to come but can you pick the ODD SPOT?
* "You've got the best coach in Australian being paid $900,000 to have a holiday in America before he comes home and coaches another team. I can't get my head around how Hawthorn have fallen apart like this" — Kane Cornes re Alastair Clarkson
* DONE DEAL | The deal to make Jordan Dawson a Crow has been lodged, with the Swans receiving Melbourne's future 1st round pick. — Daniel Cherny
* "Just like their interest in Chad Wingard, Greater Western Sydney has explored interest in Luke Breust over the last day. Would similarly have been willing to use pick 13 in a deal, but like Wingard, Breust has been reluctant to move from Hawks." — Cal Twomey
* "I can't see it happening at the moment, I think there's too much difference in the valuation from North Melbourne and St Kilda." — Riley Beveridge on the Tristan Xerri
Kane Cornes making sense?

Does anyone know the longest coaching streak at a club without a flag (even if they previously coached one)? Surely by 2024 Scott, at 13 seasons, would be close. Right now at 10 years has there ever been a coach that lasted that long.
A few that come to mind:
1. Mick Malthouse went 10 seasons at Collingwood.
2. Neale Daniher - the longest in our drought at 9 full seasons.
3. Rodney Eade - 7 years.
4. Ross Lyon - 7 years at Freo
Dont know if this is the longest but Jock McHale coached the 1936 premiers and retired at the end of 1949 season.

“Pants Off Australia”
So I am sitting in the local coffee shop - you know the one, where the oldies turn up for a smile, cheery hello and coffee.
Pants Off Australia?
I look at the ladies behind the counter which gets me thinking : I can make the ladies laugh, make them cry, but pants off, No.
Pants Off Australia?
I look at the friendly chap at the next table; he seems to have an outbreak of barnacles....Pants off I hope not.
Pants Off Australia?
Perhaps it is political, some very very late news of Malcolm Fraser....
Ok, I give up perhaps Australia has won the hosting rights to the next Sexual Olympics.....Pants Off Australia.

Perhaps there is not enough money in the salary cap to entice players to move.
As for third round picks, well the success of the Dees is with picks under pick 40; not 3rd rounders. Exceptions are TMc, rookies Jordon and Harmes, and ANB who is on the cusp. (Hunt yes, but not in the premiership team). The only fail so far is the Weid.
So trade away your 3rd round picks.

Same here.

Salem 26 years old. 130 games. Probably needs another 8 years, but he isn't playing a crash and bash role in the middle, like Oliver.
Could be like Burgoyne still going at 34....
Hope so but will Salems hamstrings last...
Probably Oliver but the way he started, Bowey

Precisely why I’m raising it now. That and the fact that I lived through the successful era when we won lots of these 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆.
The philosopher Santayana said, “those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it”. It’s worth remembering for that reason.
Right, as a community service I am going to remind every dogs supporter I meet that we pumped those puppies by74 points.

Angus and ANB for disposal.
Hibberd for having mastered the art of appearing to almost tackle/spoil/smother etc
Brown for looking absolutely ridiculous in a MFC jumper

With Henderson retiring I thought the Cats would be harder to beat but on hearing this news I am not so sure.....

OMac & Tommy Bugg who was fortunate enough to have his image painted on a wall in a city laneway. Snorting a Swans player behind play didn't work out to well however.
What type of unnatural act is that?

I know I am old fashioned but are the Dogs upset that we sang their song and not that we publicly humilated them by 74 points on the national stage?

This has to be the strategy in the draft. Midfielders are a dime a dozen. But a KP player is always hard to come by. Somebody of the McKay or Logan ilk will have the perfect opportunity to develop under our system and will be ready to go in 2-3 years time without being rushed in like his predecessors.
We have a few years to get this right and still have Weid as a backup. But for the sake of longevity and continued success this is the area we need to have longer term solution for.
You might want to ask the Saints what they think about that.

Interesting thread, and so timely. I'm currently being trolled by Bulldogs supporters on Twitter calling me arrogant after I simply asked the question - "what's the deal? It's a song...." Apparently Bulldogs are accusing Melbourne players of mocking them after singing the same song Bulldogs sang when they got on the [censored] after the prelim.... I'm questioning myself whether I'm showing arrogance by wondering if they're being a bit precious over a song....
How would they feel if we sang this....

I remember when we were flogging the Hawks one day a supporter turned to me and said 'You realise that is not Hawthorn out there today'. Thats arrogance. (Who the heck were we playing).
I follow Melbourne and dont barrack against other teams. It must be said though that we need to show respect to the MFC because it is as plain as day they are the best team at the moment by 12 goals. it is a fact.
