For the first round I usually go with last years team until they stuff up.

So the premiership side with Tomlinson/Smith for Petty (inj).

Nothing startling there.

Watching it from start probably 8+ times but i have watched quarters, goals, player highlights etc sometimes at the instigation of comments made on this forum...

Commentators said that Salem was on Cameron until 3 minutes to go in the first, then Smith.

Still defence is a collaborative effort and you have to man up.

Anyway good excuse to watch the qualifying replay.

On the risible assumption that champion data is an accurate assessment of football talent lets us examine the following ancient conundrum.  Which is more important :

The talent of your top 6 players (elite skill) vs the talent of your bottom 6 players (depth).

If one examines the MFC vs Bulldogs it is clearly depth.

Note : the analysis may be skewed by the Bulldogs having a surfeit of baileys.

Not just September.  Swans moved him on because he couldn't get the ball - a career ending move for most footballers.

I buy the AFL record regularly  and I know it may sound petty, but I'm disappointed in spending $40 on a reference publication that has so many obvious proofing errors (considering they are all to do with the premiers - you would think someone would be paying closer attention).
