  1. I guess, the next training will be a Friday morning captains run on Gosch's
  2. no training set up.at Gosch's. Good chance at Casey, or Port
  3. Port Melbourne FC had a training run at Gosch's Monday afternoon. Why doesn't Casey come up to Gosch's for a run?
  4. I guess that they will be at Gosch's tomorrow morning before 9.30 am. No training times posted on the website.
  5. I thought the "kid" beat Petty in the air, when one on one. It was a practice match, and I imagine they all had their purposes, so in the review, lots of, this works, that doesn't, fix this up, and do this more,
  6. Petty had some trouble on a taller opponent. He didn't get strong enough body weight on to the Saints player. Perhaps, he should have got more of a run up at him, or he gets support from other backmen (which he had none of, in the marking contest) Good learning for him on how to play those with long arms.
  7. TRAINING MONDAY, 13 MARCH 2023, was a bit of a photo shoot. The media was there. Most of the players having shots over the manequins, many hanging them from the shaded area on the boundary. Fritta doing laps, had one kick at goal, and wearing his normal training jersey (the one with their number on it) . Viney still in rehab, pushing himself in the laps. He did a few with Salem, half ways, and more full laps. Looks like he is working to be match fit. As he ended up bent over a couple of times. Oliver was working closely with Moniz-wakefield. J.Smith was in his training jersey as well, looking free to go and happy. BBB was kicking long 40 m goals from straight out. He and Vines the last on the paddock

  9. Is MFC training on Casey? I saw a trainer marking distances down at Gosch's. Perhaps they have an after midday run? Any inside info @WalkingCivilWar
  10. Fritta and Viney update. I was down at Gosch's Saturday morning. Beautiful down there. A group of under 15's playing a half field game. 8 Blokes have a training drill. Storm having a captain run, and Fritta and Viney doing their rehab. Looks like Fritta has ticked the boxes. Runs of various lengths, and the sharp start/stop, using hats. Finished off with numerous 70 meter sprints. Jack running laps, some parts, going 3/4 pace and the occasional walk. He had some knee strapping on, which he took off and finished more runs. Appears unhindered. I ask the trainer how they were. She said they “have finished”. Could be they have finished their rehab, or just the session. All looked very positive.

  12. Got there at about 3.20 pm. Max and Stafford were the only ones left. Passing it around and some goal kicking. Katey Hore turned up and she said a few of the women were going to have a kick. Their not training yet.
  13. Watched a replay of the dogs game. I thought they were very fumbley and made lots of mistakes with their ball movement (kicking to contests, and choosing the wrong corridor). They will be better for run. Where as we looked ready for "it". Bont and McCrea are the dangers. Will, Rivers step up as a stopper, along with Harmes? It will be a good game. Just hope we can finish them off "if" we get on top and get a great 3rd quarter in.
  14. The state of the MCG is atrocious. Gosch's took 16 weeks till they could train on it! Has turf laying techniques changed enough so they can play on a surface that looks like it will be 50% resurfaced, and then 9 days later, used. It will have to be spongy, moving underfoot and gaps/seams between the layers. I said the same about the AFLW grandfinal surface and it turned out ok. The men will really give it a workout. Hope there are no injuries. We will be the third game being played on it, in three days. I guess they know what they are doing.
  15. I can see the logic to bring more pace into the game. Though sometimes the tall's, get taller as the game progresses and fatigue hits the smalls/medium's. A small could also help with the bench rotations, and reduce the exhaustion of the on-ballerrs. We also have TMac, as a pitch hitter in the backline if a tall from there needs replacing, or they need support.
  16. Not sure Chandler is the most flexible sub for us. Would rather see Harmes as sub, even Rivers, or JJ. Though Rivers is playing good footy, and could be a waste of use, of him. I think that role will be a very strategic position. If we have a player having a shocker, we need the option to drag them for a close, like for like change.
  17. Seems the break is for 4 days. Perhaps a training session Thursday or Friday. 9th/10th. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://www.aflplayers.com.au/app/uploads/2023/01/AFLPA_Players-Handbook_2023_FINAL_Updated.pdf&ved=2ahUKEwie1r2Et8f9AhUpwzgGHd8AA2IQFnoECBEQAQ&usg=AOvVaw3oysIUqeptzBORWQSRwFYO
  18. With this, then the next training is more likely to be Monday the 13th, unless they have a weekend session.
  19. No posting on MFC websites of any training photos today. Was there anything on the social pages? I would guess they have had a couple of days off, so as to freshen up before they get ready for the Big Show. Chances are they will train down at Gosch's Wednesday 8th, 9.30am. Nothing has been posted on the website yet.
  20. AFL Members have 2 options regarding entry to a game: General Admission or a Reserved Seat. To access General Admission seating, members can either scan their membership card upon entry or scan the ticket loaded on the AFL Membership app. https://am.ticketmaster.com › FAQ23 FAQs 2023 | AFL Membership
  21. I had a quick look on the AFL app and the games can be watched, if you click on "matches" icon. Each individual game has "watch replay" icon on it. The Melbourne game on my app doesn't have a "watch replay" icon, though.
  22. I was so confused with this play. If the ball hit the post doesn't that make the ball dead, so Max can't take the advantage. I didn't have any commentary, so thought the goalie had a "howler".
  23. We aren't including the X games (AFLX) , didn't we get the "lollies"?
  24. Does that mean, the ball is GOD, as man reaches out for communion. The Sistine is Beautiful, I got to sit in it for a few hours one day. The Apocalypse is written on the wall. The demons purge everybody before them. I hope we are the chosen few, come the seasons end.
