Ok I did that, and I guess the premise Leoncelli 36 presents is plausible. I have no insight to his rating within the club for his captaincy, but do with his public persona. He is uninspiring and of limited intellectual capacity; embarrassing. I can only imagine what the likes of Tom McDonald think

Looks like the Teague train may have reached its final destination
  7. I think a lot of people have that implant already. I saw most of them at the finals games last year.

True, but his pregame stuff is carefully worded. He uses the media to his and Hawthorn’s advantage, most of them inc Goodwin just aim to complete their duty saying as little as possible

I know we are all supporters, members, fans whatever, and this season has been really hard, but the angst Goodwin’s media causes on DL really is unnecessary. The AFL community, whether it player, coach, club or head office carefully manage their message. It represents little of what is actually happening. Same with team selection, for example Preuss not being selected for most of the year had many on here yelling for goodwin’s sacking or worse, many pages on various threads were devoted to the subject. When Preuss was eventually selected, he showed manifestly that he is not ready. Turns out there was a reason why he was not selected. I know it feels hard to trust the club at times like these and we have been so badly let down by administrators in the past. Whether or not you’re suspect of the current mob, they will always have valid reasons to make decisions on selection of players, coaches , staff and will not disclose 90% of the machinations behind the scenes. Media can have agendas and it is a competitive space
  12. And welcome to you too
  13. Rationale is... we’ll realistically end up with one of them.

If hawthorn get him, he will make a full recovery, recapture his best form, improve some and be the 2020 Coleman medallist. If the Dees recruit him, he will be a dud.
  15. Oscar wasn’t bad...

    Yes
  17. I agree redleg, the fact that we are 17th will go in gold coast’s favour
  18. It would be an unmitigated disaster for the club to sack Goodwin at this stage. This time next year if we are at the same level, then action should be considered. Of course if our season is anything like as bad as this one, he will go a lot sooner, as media and supporters will be relentless in their demand for it. Just remember our recent history with the strategy of sacking coaches. Let’s not go back there. Goodwin’s appointment was a slow and carefully considered one, there was no time pressure. He then served a 3 year apprenticeship under guru Roos. We narrowly missed the 8 in 2017 and made a prelim last year. This year has been a disaster and I’m hating it as much as anyone, but sacking Goodwin is not the answer. he deserves time and an investment of top level support around him. last think, so many criticise his lack of emotion in press conferences. He is a self declared calm person. I would think that is a great attribute to have when the heat is on in the coaches box. Being calm doesn’t mean you don’t care.

  22. I feeling really down after that. Normally I’m on the optimistic side but now I really worry for next year and Goodwin. Neither is looking promising
