  1. What excellent news! But I am curious about how these contracts work. How can the club know what Clarry will be worth in seven years? He can't remain as powerful as he is now, can he? There must be some adjustment mechanism to take account of variation in his performance. Clarry and CP5 and Gawny and Gus and May and Lever and Jacko and Vines and Salo can't all be on $1.5m a year, can they? Just curious about how it all works.
  2. Stuart Dew at Hawthorn? Look it up.
  3. Fair dinkum guys. All this talk of Bowey to the wing and Salem to HF is nonsense. It's like shuffling the deck chairs on the Titanic. We have a young team. Some are having second year blues (Rivers dropped), some (like Tracc and Hunt)) are hopelessly out of form and, with injuries and suspensions, we have not been able to create the stability in the structure we had last year. The good part is we only need to win two more games to get into the finals, although even that will be a challenge ( two X Lions, Cats, PAd, Dockers, Collingwood and Carlton.) We might beat Adelaide, and maybe the Dogs. Let's aim for 2023.
  4. Fair dinkum chaps. Why don't you try calling a game at home and then measuring yourself against Kelli Underwood's performance. What intrigued me was the question of where she was calling the game from. She presented Offsiders on the ABC in the morning - including a live cross to Ange Postecoglou in Scotland - and five hours later she's calling the game. So, if she was calling the game off the TV in Melbourne, where was Matthew Pavlich during the game? Just curious.
  5. I agree. McGovern should be rubbed out for two weeks at least. That was a mongrel act. Unfortunately - and you can't blame him - Jack - had to defend himself with a couple of well-aimed punches. No doubt the MRO will see those and not the McGovern act.
  6. Not even sure Dogga got a single hitout in the second half of Q3, but his presence - shepherding, run-with and handballing was all excellent.
  7. Tracc's not going to start a sh*t-fight on national TV. Be real. Of course he's going to laugh it off. Disagree.
  8. Dead right, Sue. Daniel should be reported. It is laughable that the AFL can't be bothered. What is it? Do they want to start their Christmas holidays early?
  9. Why don't you go outside and hit your head on the ground hard enough to make a 8cm abrasion and see how you feel afterwards?
  10. Come on, you really are accepting mediocrity! Daniel should get two weeks, minimum.
  11. Come on, DE. Daniel's sling tackle on Max was extremely dangerous, besides them both being over the effing boundary line!
  12. Are you kidding CYB? I was concerned Max might have been concussed. Besides that, Danial's action happened AFTER both were over the boundary line. It was unduly rough behavior and was worth at least two weeks. Daniel is very lucky Max got up. People are saying how great it was Max said Dogga should take the ruck for the rest of the quarter. How about Max being stunned and having to recover from having his head swung onto the artificial surface, not even the grass, and having to spend time on the bench to recover? .
  13. You weren’t alone, Deever. We supporters had to earn that win.
  14. Isn't Hunt out for the rest of the season?
  15. TMac has a quiet night, but on at least two occasions a team mate popped up and pinched a mark that TMac was going to take. Within range.
  16. Great win, yes, but once again we kicked more behinds than goals. In the finals it will be OUR behinds that are kicked if we continue with this goal-kicking rubbish. Fair dinkum, they are professional in a game called FOOTball. Learn how to kick straight, PLEASE! When we kick more behinds than goals against good teams it is put down to pressure. But Today?
  17. The idea is to kick goals and we missed 8 (count them!) gettable shots tonight. Q1: Ben Brown, set shot from 30m. Kickett missed a snap in front. Q2: Petracca, a set shot from the boundary. Fritsch, set shot from 50 on sharp angle. Ben Brown, a poster. Q3: Petracca, a snap: out of bounds on the full. Q4: Ben Brown, shanked it, missed everything. Pickett, missed after the siren. The mid-field is creating the opportunities, but we are not translating it onto the scoreboard. We were in this game, could have won it.
  18. I'd like to propose a site-wide Demonland apology to Brian Taylor. He's been bagged mercilessly for not believing the Dees could win the flag -'"I'll believe in the Dees when I see Goodwin and Gawn holding the premiership cup" he said. Everyone piled onto him. Now who's looking silly? Adelaide, Collingwood, an undermanned GWS and an undermanned Hawthorn. Where's our steely resolve? Where's our killer instinct? Where's our will to win? We are going to need all of those - and more - if we are going to go top-2 and achieve something in September.
  19. Hello Demon3165. I have watched the Port game three times now and I still cannot believe how often Salem manages to find a teammate by foot when surrounded by opponents. Someone said he is lazy. It just looks that way because he is so quick-witted he always seems to have time to spare. I reckon he is the Dees' best chance for the Brownlow.
  20. You’re right, Max Bob. I think I am related to Professor Lupin.
