Dollars? Premiership Window? Chance to help develop and build a list? Are we no longer a Destination club because we don't have the $$$ or the picks to throw around? There are some big names bandied about, (Gaff, Shiel) but none of them want to play for the Dees. Why? I'm not counting Steven May because his priority seems to be to desperately get out of the Suns rather than specifically go to the Dees. So is there such a thing as a destination club or does the timing of $$$ and picks have to be right to be considered one?

Don't forget the surface of Gosch's Paddock. There has to be a correlation to the surface and the spate of foot injuries over the past few years.

Nothing wrong with getting a few young potential guns to sign on the dotted line. Anyone who doesn't think that Spargo and Fritsch haven't been important cogs in this wheel needs their heads checked. Both play their roles well. Not saying we'd lose without them but think of how much more they're going to give in the future. Add to that the wraps people have for Petty and the luxury we have of letting him develop in the 2s. Great job MFC.

I honestly didn't know who Cross was when he, pardon the pun, crossed to Melbourne. I honestly can say now that I'm glad he did and glad he has stayed. His heart is all Demon now. Thank you Crossy.

These stats are incredible. I hope these stats hold up in June too.

If we do lose this week against the Bullies (and I don't think we will) methinks there will be a few threads on here entitled, "We're not as good as we think we are".

The kid is so slick and quick that I often fail to notice some of his contributions at the time. Upon rewatching the game without the pressure of "will we or won't we win" you get a real appreciation of what he does and how he applies his craft. He is out and out our biggest star and is truly an A-Grader. This is something they we have not had many of in my Melbourne supporting lifetime.

I don't think we'll get any media respect until we make the finals and perhaps win a final. Fans of other clubs are always going to hate on us for having any success particularly if it's at the expense of their own teams. Who cares about them anyway.

That would be awesome. My favourite player this year. However I think it could be Goodwin. My favourite coach this year.

We should do whatever we can to retain this bloke and his brother too. Let's not go to crazy town but give him his fair share. The two guys have definitely helped their own cause and good on them because it's helping us win games and win them well.

Roosy must have loved seeing us play on the weekend. If we're ever lucky enough to be standing on that podium on that one day in September and Barrass isn't available to present us with the cup my second choice would be him. Bloke turned the rabble around.

I would love to take my grandkids to the G one day in the far future and point to the statue of Jonesy and proudly tell them about this warrior.

I think when all is said and done and Jesse career is over he will be considered one of our greats. He has been exceptional this year and he'll only get better. The fact that he has the endurance and the pace for such a big guy is astounding. Couple that with his marking ability and the fact that he has kicked a goal in every game this year makes him the complete package. I will fend off Fremantle with a homemade shiv carved out of a toothbrush if I have to.

The decision the other night was farcical. There is absolutely no consistency in the whole adjudication of this once great game of ours. The powers that be keep meddling with the rules. No one bloody knows which way the wind is blowing week to week. The fish is rotting from the head down and it's starting to stink.
