The more I listen to or read what Sam McClure has to say the more I'm convinced he was intentionally dropped on his head as a baby.

It does seem to be the case of cash making a club a destination club. I think we were all fooling ourselves that we were a destination club due to the direction that we were heading in.

If Jesse wants to go home this year but we can't get the deal we want then what happens? Do we get screwed and have to release him or do we make him play out his contract? I don't believe Jesse would put us in that position but I don't want to get Cam McCarthyed.

So are we no longer perceived as a destination club? Gaff is either chasing dollars or thinks North are better placed at a Premiership tilt. He obviously wants to come home but what is his other motivation. If Shiel is choosing the Blues then his decision is purely cash based. Why not choose the Dees? I'd play for us given ability and the choice and I'm not biased at all.

Dollars? Premiership Window? Chance to help develop and build a list? Are we no longer a Destination club because we don't have the $$$ or the picks to throw around? There are some big names bandied about, (Gaff, Shiel) but none of them want to play for the Dees. Why? I'm not counting Steven May because his priority seems to be to desperately get out of the Suns rather than specifically go to the Dees. So is there such a thing as a destination club or does the timing of $$$ and picks have to be right to be considered one?

Don't forget the surface of Gosch's Paddock. There has to be a correlation to the surface and the spate of foot injuries over the past few years.

Is it time to bring up not attending that camp yet?

Nothing wrong with getting a few young potential guns to sign on the dotted line. Anyone who doesn't think that Spargo and Fritsch haven't been important cogs in this wheel needs their heads checked. Both play their roles well. Not saying we'd lose without them but think of how much more they're going to give in the future. Add to that the wraps people have for Petty and the luxury we have of letting him develop in the 2s. Great job MFC.

I honestly didn't know who Cross was when he, pardon the pun, crossed to Melbourne. I honestly can say now that I'm glad he did and glad he has stayed. His heart is all Demon now. Thank you Crossy.

These stats are incredible. I hope these stats hold up in June too.

If we do lose this week against the Bullies (and I don't think we will) methinks there will be a few threads on here entitled, "We're not as good as we think we are".

The kid is so slick and quick that I often fail to notice some of his contributions at the time. Upon rewatching the game without the pressure of "will we or won't we win" you get a real appreciation of what he does and how he applies his craft. He is out and out our biggest star and is truly an A-Grader. This is something they we have not had many of in my Melbourne supporting lifetime.

I don't think we'll get any media respect until we make the finals and perhaps win a final. Fans of other clubs are always going to hate on us for having any success particularly if it's at the expense of their own teams. Who cares about them anyway.

That would be awesome. My favourite player this year. However I think it could be Goodwin. My favourite coach this year.

The Dark Days are over but I won't be happy about it until we make finals.

I was more confident early in the week but I have a feeling the game will be a repeat of our last match against them in the top end. Even with 5 big outs I think they will be too strong for us. Fingers crossed I'm wrong.

We should do whatever we can to retain this bloke and his brother too. Let's not go to crazy town but give him his fair share. The two guys have definitely helped their own cause and good on them because it's helping us win games and win them well.
