  1. He doesn't need to be shifted up the ground to be effective Christian is playing his role from half back and breaking the lines consistently  He has the capacity to run forward and hit his target, He is so good at it.

We have one Salem and he plays an important role for us. As the saying goes Rob Peter to pay Paul.  Not in this case.

  2. Does it matter what D Russell thinks ?  I don't value that opinion, Of what l have seen LJ is a very valuable cog in the teams make up because he has a good pair of hands he knows where the goals are and showed when in the ruck that he jumps high is mobile and backs up well most of the times.  IMO showed some glimpses of Natinui.

Playing and helping in the ruck at times in a hand full of games is enough to say that he will be a 200 game player and hope it is with our great club. Don't care what's so ever what  DR  thinks.

  3. As for the rankings 0liver is our most important player. He is durable he is consistent and an accumulator almost. always in the game.      No  disrespect to Gawny , Trac, Vines and May.

Why is Melksham so highly ranked?

Yes, he's in his sixth season. Now go look at how many games he's actually played.

Do I need to run you through some stats or does logic normally bounce right off you?

Why ? are you the only one who watches the games?  I don't need your stats mate. You are are just having a bad week criticising.

I have noticed your postings.  Worse luck.

  5.  Essendrug ....First the Drug scandal  now  they are thieving their own players  If that is not upsetting their players l would be most surprised.   I hope they line up to leave that miserable club.       From  Druggies  to pickpockets.

Feel a little for Gawn. Has a 20-minute radio interview (mainly on bike riding) and answers one question on Melb's prospects. Answers in a positive way and gets labelled a Tommy Talk It Up. If he plays it down he would have also been criticised for not being ambitious enough.

Yes agree however he should stick to the bike ride interview leave the footy out of it .  Bad timing'.

  7. Sam is an honest worker who has put a string of good to very good games together which was in the year !  2018 and in football terms that is long ago.  A long long long time past.

He doesn't have to change his game style  much however he has to play with some sought of aggression  CRASH AND BASH like get out of my way i will bowl you over style knock them over and bring the ball down at least as hard as you can to our crumbers !

That would count as a possession a valuable one at that and with an opportunity when the ball is loose.

What is so hard Sammy ?  You should be at your prime.  Enough of this so called of a work in process.

It is time to deliver !  I know you can.

  8. Thanks for coming to our great club and putting on the jumper KK  You were a gifted player and we never got to see much of you with us  and that is my sadness.

Good luck with your next venture and hope that good things come your way.

Your health is more important in the long run and l believe you have made the right decision .  In my eyes l consider you a Melbourne person.

  9. Goodwin needs a quick out of the boxes start and if he can help achieve a good start then it will go a long way in making the finals.

Finals is the aim with at least a win and then  we can reassess.  No looking back or we will slip and fall.   So no slipping.

Making the finals  is a priority and you need your best two or three  playing well to help drag us over the line and the rest will follow.

However you see it if you don't play finals then  it is a total waist and a fail in many  supporter's view.

How many AFL players end up playing for the club they followed when they were boys? Very few I suspect. The draft doesn’t work that way and the kids know and accept the situation! (Christian Salem and family were all keen Essendon supporters but they all support Melbourne now)!

With Salem l would say yes !  My reasoning was that goal he kicked against the side he and his Family supported that sealed the game from 30 metres out with around a minute to spare.  Did his Family wish that he kicked that goal ?   Was it his first game?

I will ask Christian at Family day.

Pretty sure he's brother works for a different player management company and doesn't manage Christian?

Yes your  right there l was lead to believe at the time.  Someone very close to me introduced me to his brother Julian who manages a few players at different clubs and one of them is at Melbourne. at the time l just assumed the way he was talking that he managed him.  That is  all l can say now.

Yep l do worry if we are good enough to hold onto our best players. Can we afford to keep them ? Time will tell.

  12. That is right the Family support the pies and are very keen. I have worried about that since he was drafted. The Pies will get in his ear no doubt and IMO i would not be surprised that we would have a fight in our hands to hold on to him.

His manager is his brother. Interesting times ahead.

  13. James is on the list and that makes him a chance of selection. If he  produces good form in the preseason matches then he will IMV be a big chance to make his long awaited debut.

Pick 33 in the National Draft in 2018 must have talent.   In the same  draft young Tom Sparrow went at  Pick 27.
