  1. Kane Corns shouldn't be too much concerned about Melbourne we have enough  goal kicking power to win games. The season proper has not started yet and BBB has time to overcome his injury and be fit enough to play  a role in the forward line sooner rather than later.

Corns haven't you anything better to talk about ?

  2. We have been building the list since Paul Roos took over  in 2014 -16  and Goody  from 2017  - current.

IMV l see it as the strongest list that has been put together since the early 60s yes l was around.56 years ago .

We are in it to win it,  We are in that so called window,

Arthroscopy is a surgical procedure orthopaedic surgeons use to visualize, diagnose, and treat problems within a joint.

Yes, the word comes from two Greek words, "arthro" - joint and "skopein" - to look, meaning literally "to look within the joint", but the surgeon uses the arthroscope ( the small camera which displays pictures on a video monitor ) as a guide for his miniature surgical instruments.

So hopefully the procedure was minor and Ben recovers quickly because the small incisions result in less pain for patients, less joint stiffness, and shortens the time for recovery.

So  Doctor Gaga , are you surmising that Ben will be ready to play Round 1 ?    Sounds promising .

Reminds me of recruiting Kelvin Templeton, perhaps the most potent full forward imaginable. It was not a good season and / or outcome.

Let's just wait and see,  hopefully it might be a better outcome than we expected Ds 56. Have to think positive,

Ok that is what I was asking. With no training at Goschs, very few training reports and the Casey being too far for the media I have very little feeling on the vibe of the team. I was just asking how you arrived at the feeling. Lots of back and fro between us on very little. I hope are right by the way.

Just like you l have been following the club for a long time from the early 60s and the list we have is  a good mix of tall mediums and smalls.

Sooner rather than later it will all come together as this team has been building for a number of years .

The least injuries we have the the better outcome we will have. So l have reason to believe that it is one of our better lists for a long while.

Sorry nosoupformebut that does not answer my question. How do you judge that?
Do you mean you feel more urgency or do you feel that from what Max said,? Do you feel that from what other players have said or is it your gut feel?

          Was there a question  o d ?   I thought you were ruminating !   OH I AM SORRY

It is my gut feel.   Or is it the Vibe ?  It is my gut feel.

It is probably due to my view of this year in total but I don’t sense a team with more urgency at this stage. It may well be on display in the next month but right now how do you judge that?

I didn't realize you are such a wet blanket  o d  cheer up old chap! ?

  9. Max is the right choice as Captain and beyond 2021. He leads by example. Max mentioned that TMac is fitter than what he has been and that Brown is doing well which is good news.

I feel that we might just see a team with  more urgency than ever before.  You can just sense it.

  10. Jordon raring to go ?     To go where?   Well all l have to say is l hope that the kid is a chance . However if Jordon makes the 22  for his first game  then he would have deserved it and really earned it.

2021 and beyond should not be any GIMME games.

  11. Great win by the Dees they busted the game wide open by kicking 5 goals to the none in the 2nd quarter against Sun and that was the game.

There was a debutant in Eliza McNamara who played on the wing  and  ran hard all day  had a great game and was one of the reasons that we won. Pearce in the Ruck and on  baller Mithen set the standard in the first half and the Dees blew them away in the end.  Tired in the last Quarter but that was expected with a hit and run game at Metricon Gold Coast  after arriving in the early morning.

    Well done Dees.

Thanks everyone for your beautiful words.

We farewelled Mark at a beautiful service yesterday with the MFC ever present. There were quite a few people including his kids wearing Dees merchandise. His coffin was draped in a Dees flag and cap and `Grand old flag` was played whilst showing Marks life in pictures. I spoke of his love for our club during my speech.

I`m once again grateful to the club for organising a video which we aired of Steven May who Mark sponsored, sending his condolences and best wishes to his family and friends.

I`m pretty sure I got the 3 votes at his wake last night, a very sore head today.

Mark would have been very proud of you to. H B for being his friend and being supportive. i am sure of

    that .

  13. Maysie just wants to lead by example something that not many at the club know what it is to back up your excellent year that you had in 2020.    More than made up for an  ordinary 2019.

That is what you call a thorough professional.

Unusual for me, but I do not remember Osborne's Brownlow votes. I do remember that each of Alves, Flower and Wells, including Hardeman, were robbed of Brownlows, each and every one of them on separate occasions and more than once, for each. They were such good players that they dragged umpires' votes from each other in any specific season. Greg Wells, what a great footballer! Flower, perhaps the best footballer ever. Alves,  one hell of a Captain in a long-suffering period of individual effort due to team weaknesses, requiring his exceptional ball and running skills (not a bad kick, either).

We had some great players in our miserable years. that goes to say.  Late 60s into the middle 80s.

Alves and Wells playing in Premiership[ for North and Carlton respectively  They didn't see any light at the end of the tunnel.

However Flower didn't take the bait to move to Carlton for them to buy him a house no Sir  Robbie was so loyal  he played for the  love of the jumper.  One of the great Melbourne footballers. Deep in my heart the BEST EVER.

While that is correct, it should be remembered that both umpires gave Brownlow votes that season so it is the equivalent of nine votes these days.  This is not to downplay Osborne's effort, however.

The winner, Graham Moss, polled 48 votes!  Other Demons to do OK were Greg Wells with 28 (equal 4th), Stan Alves with 19 and some bloke called Robert Flower with 17.

I don't think that you were down playing him i just found it remarkable that Osborne polled his career 18 Brownlow votes for that year in 1976 . 11 seasons of footy and 146 games ,  1976 also the year that Melbourne tried to off load him to Hawthorn. Unsuccessfully.
