Huge Lever fan. Was always supportive of his inclusion, and the price we paid for him - even through the difficult period after he started (it's crazy to think anyone will slot into any team structure, no matter how good they are)... ... But I have to be honest, when I saw it was Lever taking that kick, I wasn't thrilled. I would have preferred almost anyone else for the final kick before the siren. But oh boy, when the ball left his boot, you knew exactly where it was going. Maxy did what he needed to do, finally buried his demons directly in front of goal (I hope!!!), but Lever made it happen and will continue to be critical in our path to success this year!

We've finally broken through. For so many years, we've been laughed at, dismissed, forgotten. Mentally fragile? Yep. Inconsistent? Hell yeah. To do this against the Cats, at their home, with some dodgy AF umpiring at the end (that deliberate call was hot garbage right after the missed call against the Cats) is HUGE. Changing of the guard. So... After 57 long years, we finish the year on top. It doesn't mean everything obviously and the stats say we won't win the flag as minor premiers, but stats and history be damned, we are no longer tied to our past failures, or our ageing legacy. This is finally a future we are building from the ground up. So proud of the boys. New rules. Here we come.

We probably won't win, but we're only 6 goals down. We're definitely capable, and some of the boys really need to stamp their name on a finals spot because some of our outs could have been handy tonight, especially Melksham. Yeah he doesn't get a lot of love, doesn't generate a lot of stats, but you know that he also doesn't do? Bomb balls into the 50! Anyway, the Cats have stolen enough games from us over the years, I won't lie, it would be very sweet to steal this (but if I have to choose I'd rather beat them in the finals, to knock them out, again). Go Dees!

Other than the last 10 minutes or so, we weren't THAT bad. I've seen worse this year. I don't mind losing, but form is important and we don't want the boys being belted before the finals. I think we'll bounce back. Addendum: I hate Hawkins' face so much.

Agree, Viney will return this week, which means one has to go - and it's got to be Sparrow. Sparrow has shown some talent, but Jordon stays due to cohesion of the team, his body of work over the year and he's safer with the ball.
