  1. Don't get me wrong, I'd love for us to win today, and I think we will, but win or lose - this is a new team, with a new mentality. There is no fear anymore. This is a brotherhood where the boys back one another, and give no quarter. And it was born this year, probably out west in R22. And now we get to go back. It's pretty fitting. But still, there is a huge new era ahead, a win today, and a flag (!!!) would really just be icing on the cake. Go Dees! ??
  2. Great read from someone who will forever be a part of the Melbourne that rose from the ashes of a very dark chapter in our history. Great man. I'm not teary, you're teary.
  3. If we get through, 'underdog' will suit is perfectly. The Tigers were beatable, the Pies are beatable. Would be a great matchup, and a killer GF. Now let's get to making it there! Can't wait for tomorrow!
  4. Absolutely, we're going to need that extra push off HB, and Smith will add the extra height and intercept power.
  5. Totally agree. Heartbreaking for Fritter, but we'll almost certainly see him in the GF when we get through. I don't mind the change though, it makes sense. I looking forward to seeing it pay off.
  6. Richmond has a lot of Vietnamese eateries, but not particularly famed for its yum cha. Minh Tan 2 is nearby, you could easily cut through Church Street to get there. 10 minutes walk tops. Otherwise, you could head into the city to visit Shark Fin House, which is famous for its Yum Cha. You could tram it down there pretty easy, or walk 30-40 minutes.
  7. I'm glad someone else mentioned this. I loved this moment as well. Says so much about the club at the moment, and how we know exactly where we are headed, not just now, but in the future. Fearless, positive stuff. I also loved Viney's work in getting the kick to Gus for a goal. We really needed that, and the group I was in at M54 went ballistic!
  8. Good teams can win ugly when required. It shows how good we are, because we're deadly when we put it all together. And as the group develops we'll put it all together more often and with greater intensity!
  9. The kid works his guts out. His pressure was fantastic, and that 50 metre goal immense. We wouldn't have gotten that from Garlett.
  10. I just so happen to live in Hawthorn, so got to look at their salty faces as they got off the 70. Sang the song on the tram, it was brilliant.
  11. It's telling ain't it? And they finished top 4, and managed to escape scrutiny. We just keep adding those top 8 scalps. All when it counted!
  12. Yeah this is one of the biggest takeaways over the last month+. We didn't play our best footy tonight, and some of our stars were a little under, but we still found a way to win, and win well. This is the making of a very dangerous team, for a very long time.
  13. Hawks: Top 4 Flogs. So happy that we had the honour of ending their year. What a night.
  14. How good was that? For all the talk of how much Viney could contribute so soon after his injury... How BLOODY GOOD WAS HE?
  15. Agree (with you haha), Trac has been great, and was awesome in that third quarter
  16. I'm sitting next to a bay of Hawks, and boy are they.... DIRTY! The look on their faces. Priceless. What a quarter. Fearless. Tackling was next level, and we punished. LET'S BRING THIS HOME, BOYS!
  17. CHARLIE SPARGO!! We need to drive this home now. 5 goal lead at 3q time, let's go!
  18. Yep! We're playing very ordinary footy, and we're winning (thanks to Hawks wasting chances), just imagine if we get our ship together!
  19. Our short passes have been criminal. If we don't fix it (and improve our inside 50s), we won't be so lucky, because I doubt the Hawks will miss those chances in the 2nd half. We've been given a lifeline here. We don't really deserve that lead, but we have to make it count!
