I reckon it was 2021 when we beat the Tigers that we started to believe that the team was different. Round 6 or thereabouts? And again it is against the Tigers today, at least for me, that there is belief that we can put up a serious challenge for the flag this year. The pieces are starting to come together, big names starting to stand up, and some we have not been used to, which is a very important part of it all. We still have guns to return and look fit, running out games against seriously desperate sides needing wins to make the 8. We’re headed in the right direction and firing at the right time with A LOT of potential not yet tapped into. These guys can only get better playing together. So good

We didn’t start all that great, and it’s probably not ideal that we leaked nearly 100 points… BUT We were challenged by a team fighting for finals/with momentum and we steered the ship. No easy games from here. Importantly, we found our way to goals and it was exhilarating at times. Petty and Melksham were simply awesome. Even more importantly, very quietly, can you feel us cranking up??! CAN YOU!!??? Go Dees 🔥

Agree. But if that’s the case we’re going to need to find some energy for the finals because our forward line is not nearly potent enough to be leaking goals like this.

Oooof what a mess. 61pts against us, so far, in a half. Our backline is a mess and has been for a while. What happened to our fortress? Typical for us to serve this [censored] after port and the lions open up an avenue to second place. And what the hell was that from Gus?? Kozzie back in the middle, just get Harmes to tag somebody, best use we can get from him, and EVERYBODY PULL THEIR FINGERS OUT and stop giving them cheap goals.

Harmes to the bombers, unfortunately. It’s been a wild ride old friend.

I think there were some really good clutch moments in that game for us, like Gus’ smother and ANB’s trap and tackle against 2 crows which would have been a certain goal. Good, desperate stuff. Thought ANB was good today.

This ⬆️ The Crows are a good young side with a lot of raw talent, capable of turning it on and especially when their season is on the line. No shame in a tight win, a lot better than a close loss.

Don’t love that we had to sweat that out, (and the 50s were sloppy) but the truth is the Crows were pretty good, we were inconsistent (sometimes good and definitely plucky), but they were desperate, with their season on the line and at the end of the game, we were on top. Good teams do that. We just need to make sure we play 4qtrs from here on in because there are no easy games. Go Dees!!

I love how we keep responding but geez it never feels like we’re in any sort of control of this thing? Won’t matter as long as we’re over the line when the siren sounds. Crows have been desperate and understandably so. Kept right in it by Rankine who is amazing.

We’re only up by 2 goals, not even a lead worth mentioning. We need to start - and finish - strong against a desperate Crows side. Their season is on the line.

It’s a shame we didn’t capitalise off that good start. The crows definitely took it up to us and we’re a little lucky they have been inaccurate. They’re a danger team and need to be given due respect in the second half. Need to start strong and take chances.

Best win in a LOOOOOOONMNG TIME!! Maxy huge. Melksham immense. Stood up when we needed him. He has his detractors but he’s smart and one of our best kicks. Loved smith out back. Trac was massive as was Viney. Welcome back, Kozzie! Came back from the dead against a seriously good side playing SERIOUSLY well. Massive for the year.
