We were poor. Saying you cannot find one positive is over reacting. We cannot be that poor next week imo. That is also a positive

It was a poor game and not the result we wanted but no need to over react with such a small sample size. Positives - Sparrow and Wagner fit in well and looked like they could be good players, Salem was sensational (the best game I have ever seen him play), we didn’t get absolutely blown away even though after quarter time it looked as though we would. I suggest everyone takes a deep breath and relaxes a bit. We clearly have some problems but so do West Coast and other contenders. West Coast lost their first game at home last year also. We played about as bad as we could and I think many will be better for the hit out. Another positive - Frost to go back to Casey next week and run around like a headless chooks there for the rest of the year. Bring on May!

What a terrible game our Captains had. Jones was horrible and Viney couldn’t get near it. I thought Sparrow and Wagner showed a bit which was encouraging. Frost is not AFL level...he is awful! Not sure we could be any worse than we were today.

I am pumped for the announcement and bloody nervous at the same time. I think there might be a surprise selection - could Petty or Keilty get named? Will all three of Viney, Jones and Melksham get up...it s nerve wracking.

Does anyone know what time the tribunal sits? I’m reasonably confident he will get off

Haven’t read all above posts so excuse me if mentioned before but I thought Steven May was fantastic in the last quarter and showed exactly why we chased him. I can’t wait to see him and Lever in the same backline. As an aside Neville Jetta is the best small defender in the comp...by a long way!

What a huge load of turd. I watched about two minutes...almost spewed. So glad MFC treated it with the disdain it deserved

All the best to Tyson. He was a good servant of the MFC and assisted in a not small way in our rebuild. I believe he did not want to leave either. Has always always seemed like a good bloke too. It shows how far we have come that players of his standard are now surplus to our requirements. Exciting times ahead!

Our midfield Is so much better and tougher now. Oliver, Brayshaw and Viney are a fearsome core. The hardest in the comp IMO. I believe that we have the best and most even list in the AFL. That doesn’t mean we will get the ultimate glory, it does mean we have a bloody good shot at it though.
