The Ultimate Forward
I'll put this to all Demonlanders out there, plenty of discussions have taken place which i haven't been completely over. No doubt it's been mentioned to within an inch of its , I've been thinking about our forward line alot lately. (surprise, surprise 🤪) If BBB were to make his way back in our Forward line would a predominantly front 6 of the following work? Of course throughout the game players can interchange in and out e.g Gawn, Grundy, Petracca, Sparrow, Viney etc. Pickett Brown Chandler/Sparrow Fritsch Van Rooyen Smith/ANB I can understand F50 pressure might be an issue but i do feel Smith, Fritsch and Van Rooyen do create tackle pressure inside F50 to help keep the ball in our scoring zone. Our scoring before with our existing small forwards hasn't been damaging of late. It's concerning i like others in the Deenation feel another tall marking forward will help out JVR considerably. This would no doubt create some balance issues but could also help if we have an injury to a tall having an extra in the line up and the sub could essentially be a mid/ small fwd. (best of both worlds) This may limit Gawn and Grundy around the ground but could also be effective in last qtrs as it would allow them to be fresher to jump all over them in the ruck and give us greater ruck ascendency. The overall defensive pressure systems we have in place might be enhanced especially if Gawn is allowed to spend more time behind the ball and set up the wall of doom. If things seem to clunky and don't work out we can always bring on the tactical sub which would preferably be a mid or small/fwd. Would the presence of another Tall Forward in BBB hinder our overall defensive pressure in F50 and allow the ball to come out to easy or create extra panic for other teams defending the marking presences of BBB, Fritta, JVR and Smith? Essentially an extra tall for a small forward/mid?

No and never will be a yes, lock thread and throw it in the ocean.

Would that suggest BBB is on his way back in and the Petty up forward experiment is dead in the water?

Biggest rivalry?
Maybe not would have got weeks.😂

Biggest rivalry?
That wasn't thuggery by Wheels that was as pure footballing hit that you will ever likely see, would stand up in today's AFL judicial system.
-
Biggest rivalry?
I think in the last 2 years everyone has circled Melbourne on the fixture list especially Filth, Ferals, Dogs and Lions.
-
Biggest rivalry?
I reckon they don't like us much atm.

I truely believe that our F50 entries are a by-product of the fact that the game plan the coaches want the players to follow is deep entries to not allow shallow F50 turnovers from leading forwards. Thus preventing quick rebounding transtion opportunities as our delivery isn't as precise as other teams delivery Inside 50. The better teams seem to exploit our tall marking backline if they are exposed to pace on quick transition shifts to their forwards outlets on more occasions i.e Collingwood, Port and Geelong last night. These beliefs indicate that the brains trust believe we are better off creating stoppages from getting the ball to ground as we are not designed to dominate team in marking inside F50.

Well that's top 2 done and dusted, as much as the loss sucked dog appendage, lets be honest we aren't playing at this ground come finals time. Its all about finishing in the top 4 rather play at the G but Adelaide Oval should hold no fear. Port will be under truck loads of pressure. The last quarter fade out was very surprising hoping its an aberration to their credit Ferals were more desperate and smarter around the ground. Not throwing out all the toys from the cot just yet, plenty of footy to play but we don't play well in the wet that's for damn sure.

Admission of Tanking?
@Rhino Richards Do you honestly reckon West Coke have completed an AFL harden pre season in the past 2 seasons? An injury list caused to hinder their chances of winning games to guarantee themselves of the best draft hand in the land without the allegations of tanking. Signing on players that are past their best on multi year deals putting players away for the season when they could push through. Not one iota of desperation to fix the issues they currently have all designed to guarantee draft hand. How can Adam Simpson be surviving all this you say? Because the Weagles as a club are all in on the fix. Could you imagine if it was an easy target like our Football Club 10 years ago? Another orchestrated masterpiece from the Wet Coke Eagles. Out of sight out of mind.

Admission of Tanking?
Absolutely Laughable at what West Coast are currently doing?

The Hole in the Heart of the AFL
I will say players had to kick on both sides of the body in the 80's and 90's, don't see to many exponents of that skill set these days. Kicked barrels for fun also.

Admission of Tanking?
Hasn't done us any favours in the past, don't understand why the club wouldn't know his history against us. Absolutely baffling the club would continue with his services that are 💩🏠.

THE LAST TIME THEY MET
We trained all pre season to create a game plan to nullify the Strengths of 3 teams Swans, Pies and Cats. Time to complete the trifecta and send a message to those corrupt pen pushing, tax payer stadium rorting, draft rule changing, brown bag hiding suits down the highway that last year was a aberration. We are coming to get Feral land to take back what is rightfully ours and there ain't a thing that is going to stop us. 🇱🇮💪🏆

The Hole in the Heart of the AFL
More cash on offer as head coach.

Admission of Tanking?
If this was the case why does the club continue to use him as our defence lawyer? Because he wrote some of the tribunal rules?

The Hole in the Heart of the AFL
Probably why they are desperate for Brendon Gale to jump on board.
