  1. I said not to mention the defensive stuff. did u not even read my post. we're agreeing. tom McDonald is twice the player of Hogan. So much so that I want to turn oscar into one
  2. 1. watched the melb finals games (exc. prelim) about 3 times. 2. studied the hell out of the draft. 3. Threw darts at a pic of Peter Bell stalling the trade week.
  3. I can understand what people say but a lot of the nba players suit up which is a lot more formal than a club polo. Yes, they aren't all suiting up but still. The NBA players no doubt have an ego as opposed to here where we have to train up a skinny kid for 5 years before he believes he has what it takes to belong in the league. The nba players come in at 20-21 and believe they are going to run the franchise. i wish our draftees had that self belief.
  4. The joke is on you as Rance and basically all of the players were purely taking the p!ss. Lighten up. It was funny
  5. One less thing to worry about? How long do you spend figuring out what to wear?ffs! I seriously don't care whether casual or otherwise.
  6. ok this is my opinion here and don't shoot me down: The AFL continues to copy the nba with everything. I'm not sure if everyone remembers an afl ad many years ago that was a direct rip off from one of the nba ads. Here is the link to demonstrate that: http://asternwarning.com/nba/i-love-this-game-aussie-rules-afl-copies-nba-commercials.html The AFL even changed the name from the AFL 'Draft' to the AFL 'combine'. A direct copy from nba. Now they are copying the NBA with free agency and mid season trading. Now i think these changes are good but why do we always have to be a few years behind the nba. mid-season trading for example should've happened years ago. Personally, I like it when the AFL change things up. Grand final day is so fricking boring with the usual pre-match entertainment of some past their prime band followed by a bunch of oldies in old cars waving to the crowd. Can't we change it up for once!! Rant over
  7. how can hogan be above mcdonald? mcdonald averages more goals per game despite playing less time inside 50 :S Not to mention the defensive stuff.
  8. You can't include Lever based on 10 games yet. That's just projecting. Out: Heffernen, Lever, Pickett and Rodan In: Vince, Hibberd, Melksham and Garlett.
  9. wtf is Watts doing in there! surely taking the p!ss. I'd say Brent grgic would be in before him. scott Thompson Jeff farmer woewodin
  10. needs to be played forward, not back. Put a premium on goal kicking accuracy instead of having petracca blaze away
  11. Anyone who has actually played in hot conditions knows that it's never as bad as it seems. You're focussing on the ball, on the game. You're running, you're getting the wind in your lungs. They'll be fine. Such a precious bunch you are.
  12. I guess we'll see this weekend won't we. Melbourne trained when it was 40 degrees this year already. And they did running sessions too.
  13. Not sure what converting it to Fahrenheit does. They train when its 40 degrees and they'll play when its 36.
  14. harden up guys. it's not 45 or anything. its 38 and it'll probably be around 35 at the time they start playing and dropping by the minimum
  15. yeah I agree everyone gets a bit reactionary. I think we should just play to our list strengths. The Collingwood ruck/fwd set up isnt what makes them dangerous. its degoey, Hoskin Elliott and Stephenson. elite speed. That's what we dont have. hunt does if he makes the 22. But for wce its elite key position players in kennedy and McGovern and darling. For us its inside mids with viney oliver harmes and brayshaw but I think our small fwds are underrated in hannan and melksham.
  16. Stef Martin would've been nice. Blind Freddy could see the Martin was going to be a gun. Not sure who it was that decided to get rid of him but I saw his all-australian potential from the outset.
  17. WCE only won the grand final because Sheed kicked a clutch goal under pressure? lol. That's ridiculous dude. You've got to give credit when its due. You could say the same thing about Stephensons goal in the 1st qtr, or Hoskin elliot from the same pocket as Sheed in the first quarter, not to mention the darling drop in the goal square in the last minute that he would drop 1 out of 100 times. Like I said, credit when its due. WCE deserved to win. Especially considering they had to play an away game at the mcg with 70k pies fans.
  18. was anyone sitting on the grassy mound today? one guy told everyone to sit down as the people sitting couldn't see which was something I'd never do but was definitely warranted. Sit down people!
  19. Played well: Gawn Vanberberg Oscar McDonald Hibberd Salem T.Smith Petracca Joel Smith Who didnt: - Weideman - sparrow
  20. So we get a complete review of the scratch match, whoever is going how about we divide up some of the players to focus on. maybe count their stats and report back. I'm going to lock in on Tom Sparrow and James Jordon :)
  21. hey guys, just a quick question, do we have our 1st round draft pick for next season? I've really enjoyed watching sparrow train this year and miss the feeling of having an early draftee at training sessions :)
  22. Hey guys, I'm going along for the whole thing. Feel free to post anything you want me to look out for. I might take snaps on my phone too and unlike other posters I don't care who uses the photos. lol jk just stirring the pot!
  23. Hannan isn't getting much love. He is our best small forward in my opinion. I rate him ahead of spargo and garlett. his goal he kicked against Geelong was clutch on the big stage!
  24. I have high hopes for weideman. Going to be a great player!
  25. I'm going to get a call up at this rate
