  1. This really gets me as they are employed as commentators NOT entertainers. Join the Melbourne Comedy Festival if not and just comment on the play being fair to either side. Just listen to British soccer commentators. No bias like our nuff nuff's here.
  2. And let's not forget around the neck. Hipwood was always going to lose any appeal to the umpire. Very little on this point discussed by the media. Oh I forgot. They have their own agenda against Melbourne. Try Foxtel last night. Nothing about a great win but all about Gawn/Grundy. Media now suggesting Melbourne should move Grundy on to a third club. Ding bats.
  3. Yes I have mentioned it earlier. He just cannot stand Melbourne. The groan was most audible. Choke on that BT.
  4. I don't mind it. The worst belongs to Gold Coast.
  5. He let out a huge grunt on the siren. He is a sanctimonious bugger.
  6. I just shake my head with some of that Underwood women's comments. Brian Taylor is looking not too bad against her.
  7. Lucky you. An early dinner after work and settling down for an early match. Early enough for the kids want to watch if there "Dee's".
  8. Prefer the MMM call as they turn the crowd noise up for a better reaction.
  9. Ah. That brylcreem hair style. Had many chats to him after matches way back when.
  10. Respect your opinion but somehow I feel she is the "mouthpiece" of the AFL when they want certain stories "out there".
  11. Maybe, just maybe the Daniher & Lloyd families were friends when the kids were young with one family having a pool. Clearly Matthew taught young Joe how to dive. And we all know Matthew should have been representing Australia in the Olympics for diving. Old habits passed on.
  12. And channel 7 ( from Sydney TV this morning) claimed in the narrative that Brisbane should have been paid the mark and win the game. Wouldn't know the rules/interpretations not being a mark and/or around the neck. Nuff Nuff
  13. And there are four of them to bugger it up. Why didn't the ump 79-90 meters away call around the head to Adelaide ( as they generally override the closest umpire) in the last QTR. Sorry missed the name. I think the AFL just admitted they stuffed up.
  14. I would love to see a captain pull all the players together after a seriously bad call, and all walk to the bench to call the coach down and discuss walking off. Would never happen (although it should) AND then the AFL might just wake up to the umpiring crisis. Suited "nuff nuff's on 6 figures just have no idea that they are ruining the game. I have been going to games since 1956 and I am fed up with the way the game is going. Fixtures, Umpiring, MRO/ Tribunal is/has left a bad taste for the game in my mouth. My love for the MFC keeps me going BUT there will a time I just don't go or follow. I am teetering now.
  15. I thought it was "Tax payer Park". My bad.
  16. They must be hiding him on a farm just like Wet Toast and Adelaide have done before. The cows will miss him.
  17. They do appear to have more female supporters than most other clubs.

Was involved in those as well. Try lugging a very wet 50my long banner home on the train.
  19. I actually heard a story that the AFL increased our grant by $500k for us to pay them back. Unable to verify the story but my source was very bullish with their comments.
  20. Hope it was a loooong train ride and they had to sit there with you for most of the journey. A little smirk every now and them would keep them ticking over. Haha I promised myself not to have a go at Collingwood when we won BUT I just cannot help myself. Ingrained since birth a long time ago.
  21. You shouldn't have bought the charcuterie board out at half time. Clearly upset your neighbour supporters.
  22. Maybe the proceeds from a recent job in Perth.
  23. The worst fight I have seen in the MCC was Melb VEss years ago when we won by the last kick so to say. MCC father bought his son & mate along (Essendon supporters) and admittedly bated by a Dee's supporter & the son jumped a row to have a go and actually punched a woman in the face two people along from me. It was right on but security had been watching and were right onto it. I found out later that the member (father) had his membership suspended for a while after a please explain meeting. But I agree with you Hassa Mann that I feel a tad uncomfortable playing Collingwood at the "G" as heaps of their supporters act as if they are in the outer.
  24. The phone number advertised at the ground would have sorted them out if rung. No reason to put up with that rubbish. Good banter is fine but personal abuse is just not on.
