  1. Agree on all of that. Also this might just be me, but I lowkey see this as a long winded Brayshaw replacement. Versatile, leader, good culture guy and by all reports just a good human being. All of which Gus brought in spades
  2. I reckon this could be a shrewd bit of business. Baffles me how people can be writing him off already. Sure he’s no world beater but give him a chance at least
  3. Despite his obvious drop in form I do have a slight concern that we don’t have any other big bodied defenders. Turner and McDonald can hold their own but I don’t back Lever, Howes or Adams (yet) to win 1v1’s consistently - Derksen, if we do land him is an unknown. Although big bodied forwards aren’t as prominent as they once were it’s still something our recruiters should be cognisant of imo. I’d also prefer to see Howes play up the ground and move Petty back anyway so maybe I raise a moot point..
  4. As much as I’d love that, I feel they’d nearly laugh us out of the room if they were our demands
  5. Fair enough. MacKenzie (apparent correct spelling of the lads name) is still only 21 tho so wouldn’t be shooting him down too quick. Who would be your target if the dorks come for trac?
  6. If the Hawks and Petracca want each other, would we consider a Lewis and McKenzie package with a couple of picks getting thrown around? I don’t really know what else they could realistically offer us. Lewis isn’t a walk up start for them anymore yet he probably would be for us, McKenzie seems to have a fair bit of potential. I’m curious as to what Petraccas perceived value is in the industry now after a somewhat down year
  7. May just stamped his own papers
  8. Been a trip down memory lane for Claz tonight 🙏
  9. I just don’t understand the thought process when we’re going inside 50
  10. Williamson is a bad as they come, nearly on Scott McLaren levels
  11. Culley could shape to be one of our better bargain bin pickups in a while.
  12. It frustrates how much promise Petty shows as a forward but can’t ever seem to really dominate a game. Perhaps put it down to poor ball movement/delivery
  13. Wouldn’t blame him either
  14. I think he just knows who the likely candidate is and like others doesn’t want to publicly over extend himself only to miss out
  15. https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1BVFJNpwMR/?mibextid=wwXIfr but when Petracca does it, its demonstrative and he’s a selfish teammate 🤝
  16. You’re right, it’s just a shame sparrow and Sharp aren’t providing any run 😂 Howes should definitely be up the ground
  17. Agree he needs game time but id argue Sharp or sparrow could’ve been subbed. I have never thought Howes should be played as a ‘key’ defender - wasn’t he drafted as a wingman/half forward?
  18. Didn’t the commentators say it was tactical? I must’ve missed the injury
  19. Why sub out McDonald when Howes is getting towelled up
  20. I thought the word was that Hinkley is mentally cooked and wanted to take a break from the AFL in general?
  21. I’m thinking/hoping Derkson could come in and be Cam Pederson 2.0 Would love to get Rosas, I’m surprised that he’s failed to stay in Hardwicks team tbh. From what I’ve seen he’s shown qualities of a solid afl contributor - unless someone can tell me otherwise. it’s also a shame we missed out on Ryan Angwin from the Giants last year, he looked really good on the weekend and in the last few weeks. Perhaps one to look out for in the future
  22. He needs to put on more size and increase his tank, I love Judd but when he’s spent time in the middle previously he got absolutely bullied
