  1. All this talk about Bronwlow's got me thinking - Did Jobe ever find his Brownlow? Or has it been forgotten now as an issue about integrity?
  2. What a great stat - I just text it in to SEN to try and get some media love for him - not that I listen to the show... maybe someone listening can let me know if its repeated on air.
  3. Checkmate? http://www.news.com.au/sport/afl/sydney-swans/zak-jones-resigns-with-sydney-on-twoyear-deal-snubbing-hometown-return-to-victoria/news-story/eb3e22994542155b36feba73261644dd If you'd just held off around 90seconds....
  4. just been facetious ..soz mate.
  5. Plenty of papers on that - lets walk to the car yard and get the $25,000 VW golf , the $35,000 golf or the $45,000 - most people discount the $25k because they feel the won't get enough, or its not good enough - the difference between the $35k and the $45k is perceived value - do I get the same tangible benefits, or am I getting ripped off. I'd go the $35k - hence Jake will definitely be coming to Melbourne. You heard it hear first.
  6. @Skuit - what's Adelaide list management position? What is their prioritising from a financial perspective? Perhaps they're resigned to losing him due to his partner resigning and wanting to come back (could be rumour of course) - perhaps it is a fait accompli that he returns - its no longer about oweing clubs respect due to development as a young player, these are purely pragmatic times. Irrespective of financial offers, its about your values as an individual - closer to home (connections, family, community) vs the brotherhood of one club that nurtured you - even though this is fundamentally replaceable (see Dangerfield, Mayne, et al). Either way there is benefit and cost - personally, I'd join the Dees rather than a small town hick team from Radelaide, from a 'values' based perspective,
  7. #zanotti reporting that he will sign for Sydney. Personally I'm not the fazed.
  8. Glad you could read it that way...i watched the question about 5 times and still got no indication. I hope you're right.
  9. erm...a non smart arse response?
  10. show, date, station and time please
  11. Build it and they will come.
  12. Just on that... I try and link up who posts on here and then the Demonland Facebook page - looking for syntax similarities etc etc...but you're right - a straw poll would perhaps over 50% with 1964
  13. Heh heh heh, just like my now deceased Dad...
  14. Just to clarify - It's not free sessions, the psychologist will charge what ever they charge - $150-$250 per session, the government rebate will be $84.80 for a general psych (they have lower fees, AND they're just a competent) vs a clinical psych (who's training whilst deals with the general population, work a lot with personality disorders i.e.: schizophrenia etc) as well as mood disorders (anxiety, depression) whereby the rebate is $102.00 - hence they charge more - you'll be roughly $50-$75 out of pocket - and considering what we spend on booze and food during the week - its pretty cheap to get your head sorted for the long term.
  15. How do we see things so differently?
  16. Interesting that neither co captain is automatic top 5... just an observation...
  17. Have we all gone off Steven May? His thread is nowhere to be seen now...
  18. how good was that mark in the final qrt. I don't think i've ever seen him drift in an have the confidence to take a grab vs halve the contest. Yes it's a sample size of one. Yet bloody good evidence.
  19. 'Like' Mmmm, maybe it was a keyboard slam... the eyebrows were raised for sure! The problem of forums sometimes is things are easily misconstrued. Certainly read like you were having a crack... But what you have just said is clear as...
  20. Geez, we have a superstar and he's not going at the rate of knots that a 24 yo may be as a 19yo - FMD peoples need for instantaneous brilliance is remarkable. He's played 23 games... this stuff will come.
  21. I agree, beyond the reality of where the players are developmentally, I think there is a structural problem of pushing up high allowing free space for the opposition mids to win the ball then get out over the back...last week felt a little like Pagans Paddock.... not too much a scrawny kid can do on Brown when its been delivered on his [censored]. I don't like exposing our back line...but [censored] it - I've never coached a game of football in my life, and no nothing about systems... I am however a reluctant expert who righteously posts on forums such as this.
  22. that took you all of 6 minutes @Ethan Tremblay ...impressive
  23. I'm calling this weekend in Alice 'The Steven May Cup'.... should we win, we snare him, should we lose...he's off to Richmond!
  24. Best 3 games from a backman since Danny Hughes - the 1980's not the 2000's
  25. Correct. @Ethan Tremblay but mind yourself, if someones got a medical condition, you can't say anything untoward...
